Offline | Yeah, that's it..... That's the name you gotta go with..... The "MOTza Ball". It'll carry the grand history of the first, with the elegance of a dance across states. Not to mention a little head scratching of people we run into. Contest prize for the best Chicken Soup? |

Offline | I'm looking for Bob, the friend of "Acetonic," who was so gracious to me, but then I got separated from the throng! Bob, check my profile and get in touch, OK? I'd like to maintain some lines of communication! I wasn't blowing you off, believe me! Jim |

Offline | Perfect! The MOTza Ball Ralley gets my vote! Steve- Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help with the planning of this Ralley. I wouldn't want you to start having nightmares regarding this Ralley already! Thanks again for your part in organizing the MOT 2003, it was a blast!!! ![]() |

Offline | You guys just don't learn, do you. He is leading us down the proverbial road to perdition. Not sure I could keep this nastiness up for a year. If we can keep at least part in NH, the Gov. will come through again. My only disappointment was that not one press release was responded to, 2 sponsors who said they would donate stuff failed to, and I never got any response from MINIUSA marketing in Westwood, NJ (heard they were at Watkins Glen but they shoulda known better). My next career is not in PR!! If Doug at Turner is planning a Rt 1 Maine coast this fall, then next year, ME to NH via Rt2 (an inland route) might be the way to do it. Cheers all Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear. |

Offline | I love you all !!! At last , I have found people as insane as I am..... Some Info: In a few weeks, I will go down to Acadia and meet with the Park Supt. and find out what is happening there. Because we are dealing with a National Park rather than a private corporation, things may be different.....times are tough though and $$$ may talk. There is also a group "Friends of Acadia" that I will contact.....will let you know..... It took me about 3 hours to drive from Bangor, Maine to Gorham, NH---speed limit (really!) through the small towns in Maine,so we would need to add about 1 1/2 hours to that totaling 4 1/2. That would get us into Gorham early afternoon to sleep until evening.....Not impossible......at least for us crazies....People could opt for either, or both depending on what time they could allow.... |

Offline | continued The biggest complaint I heard was that some folks find it confusing to read through these organizing threads...and loose track of what is happening.....perhaps it could be arranged to have a monthly update summary posted separately....in order of the newest last. or delete the old ones somehow. Someone not involved in the organizing could read all, make notes, get what they think is happening approved and then post that. Perhaps we lost folks who wanted to come because they couldn't figure out what was happening..... Finally, if I am an official member of the "4:30 Mainiacs" am I a MAINiac Mainiac? ![]() Oh, what then happens to the speed run? Sunday?? ![]() |

![]() #1 Stink Clown | I wish there was a story, the force has not yet caught up with my typing skills. I am still very tired and do not want to go to work(s). Do you think that this event will (hopefully) go off around the same time? I hope the first aid kit came i handy it has just about everything you would need, road rash really sucks! |

Offline | For future meets we might be able to maintain a web site too with recent announcements / planning / etc on it. My only comment about all these future plans is that one of the VERY BEST bits of MOT was getting together with people - too much driving just lets you watch MINIs in front and/or behind, but the special stuff is the stops and gatherings. So if we go for a point-to-point drive, let's keep the points not too far apart. |

Offline | Ian, As much as I enjoyed meeting everyone, I am one who prefers the driving and sightseeing. Perhaps I am not that much of a people person. I sure do love to drive my Mini, especially in the company of other Minis. |

Offline | Let me qualify that last statement, I prefer driving fast and hard. If you are talking about the parade stuff, I am in complete agreement, I'd rather meet and greet than drive slow and orderly like. 0430 runs and dangerous curves? Please don't even stop. |

Offline | Ice - you know how I feel. I love the MINI people but the car is the point here. Mine exists to motor with others but it thrives on doing so on roads that allow it to strut its stuff. Get that site going guys, but remember: the straight road is not the Cooper's Road. ![]() NY/NE Mod |

Offline | Lots of great ideas! Now you just need some Guidance and ORGANIZATION. Hmmm, let's see how we can pull all this together. John, SHUT UP!!, in advance. I think we need to keep our witticisms to 3/week. It's going to be a long dreary winter listening to you whine. Suvssuk (Aaron)has the charge of setting up the website. Pertinant information can be stored there in categories. This forum should be the place to banter ideas and greetings. MEmini (Diane)is in charge of securing our Eastern-most sunrise meeting place. Who can scout roads for early morning assaults? MY experience is that select roads must be run on weekdays or very early in the morning. Consider how cramped Bear Notch and the Kanc were during the day but we OWNED the roads at 4:30 to 6 a.m. ice (Brad) and GMINI (John) are afficianados of acceleration and sustained speed but I'm not sure they'll be able to preview any northern roads in the next year. It would mean a reconnaisance road trip. I do know some amazing roads but they are further up north. MGBboy (Ricardo) and rfinprc (Richard) care to take up the design of the rally plate and official 2004 logo again? GadgetGav (Gavin) has no choice but to do the vinyl clings because they came out so perfect this year. Many offers to help have come in via email. I'm thinking the charge to all attendees would be to get some spectacular door prizes from their respective MINI dealerships. One other thing. Would anyone mind ending each post with your real name for a while so we can get that association down pat? If I'm being too bossy tell me so. But it won't do any good ![]() Missing my buddies Dan and Ed but glad I have two angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |

![]() #1 Stink Clown | I'd be more that happy to ask my dealership to sonate a door prize. i think they will they are decent enough folks. I wish there was more for us to do it seems we were just riding on the coat tails of the NE crew. if there is a job for us to do we'll take care of it. Louis is proficient in computer stuff, I don't think he knows bout the G5 yet. And I have the creative gene. So anything we can do to help? |
