| For future meets we might be able to maintain a web site too with recent announcements / planning / etc on it. My only comment about all these future plans is that one of the VERY BEST bits of MOT was getting together with people - too much driving just lets you watch MINIs in front and/or behind, but the special stuff is the stops and gatherings. So if we go for a point-to-point drive, let's keep the points not too far apart. |

| Ian, As much as I enjoyed meeting everyone, I am one who prefers the driving and sightseeing. Perhaps I am not that much of a people person. I sure do love to drive my Mini, especially in the company of other Minis. |

| Let me qualify that last statement, I prefer driving fast and hard. If you are talking about the parade stuff, I am in complete agreement, I'd rather meet and greet than drive slow and orderly like. 0430 runs and dangerous curves? Please don't even stop. |

| Re: Lots of great ideas! Now you just need some Guidance and ORGANIZATION. I'll start working on it right away... www.minisontop.org ? What do you think Diane (MEmini)? Since we would be considered the "locals" around Maine... we can do a little scouting... -Aaron (suvssuk) |

| Great weekend. Looking forward to our next adventure.Next time let's shoot for 100 Minis or more. What a sight. Was there any press coverage?Kudos to all the people who worked so hard to make our weekend the sucess that it was.I'd be glad to help in anyway needed for the next roadtrip. | I'd be more that happy to ask my dealership to sonate a door prize. i think they will they are decent enough folks. I wish there was more for us to do it seems we were just riding on the coat tails of the NE crew. if there is a job for us to do we'll take care of it. Louis is proficient in computer stuff, I don't think he knows bout the G5 yet. And I have the creative gene. So anything we can do to help? |

I know that we are all (some) going for the sunrise, sunset adventure. but for the few or many that would only go for the MOT can something be worked in for those that would like to just have another MOT and all meet at the mountain in time for the ride up, and maybe something set up for those people on the day of the ride up, like we had on saturday afternoon. Just trying to think of something for everyone, so we can have a good turn out and not put it out of thr reach of anyone. (time wise) Frank |

| I agree with my grumpy but otherwise sociable buddy. The Sunrise Sunset tour is going to be more costly, more time consuming and more caffeineated. A combination of SS and MOT is the ticket. Two related but separate events that come together in the afternoon for food/mingling/summit sunset drive. Maybe the Auto Road would let us hang out around the BBQ area and have snacks with BYOB. I had a great suggestion from MOT attendees Peter Ecklund and Susan King and I'll quote: " have an observation and suggestion for another event such as MOT. We have many questions that many new Mini owner have in the first year. We talked to several owners for input. One question was what do you do about snow tires for an "S"? Do you need snows, do you get run flat or ordinary snows, do you get new wheels, etc? My suggestion would be to have a program or forum during the period between Kanc and the barbeque for those who would be willing and interested in discussing a topic or topics and share information. Not all would attend but I bet many would. It could be formal or informal and of course optional. Just some thoughts to ponder." So, it may work out that MOT could have an afternoon hang around session with some Q&A by some experts. Aaron, I like it! What type of costs are involved with setting up and maintaining a .org site? Hi pocket_rocket. Welcome aboard. Missing my buddies Dan, Ed, and Diane but glad I have three angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |
