This is a MINI event.
If you want a sport car event please visit the Sports Car Club of America here: www.scca.org and see if you can get something going.

Of course, classic Minis are invited again this year.

That was the way I thought of it when I came up with the idea for the ride to the top.

Just remember, we (I) needed a "special dispensation" last time. If we're expecting more people this time, there's always a chance someone else will need the same thing. A "MINIs/minis only on top" rule is fine by me, but let's not get too crazy. Next thing you know, there'll be a "no brown cars" rule or something Just because there weren't any brown ones last time doesn't mean there can never be any.

What do you mean by "let's not get too crazy"? The question was only regarding the allowwance of non Mini/MINI's along. The answer seems to be decided. Is there something that makes you wary of further exclusions? However, no brown cars seems to be a good idea. How about "no automatic transmissions"?

Be careful where you faffers are going with this.....remember the Hong Kong fiasco of you know who. Oh, what the heck...how about grouping cars by color, having each group led by a '59 Caddy of the same color, having all drivers and passengers dressed in Ian's panto clothes(in the same color), having all contest prizes be miniature Yugos, same color. Then have all posted pix of MOT04 be toned in the color of the car grups depicted???? Egads! Then the calendar can have a different color for each month.... February must be YELLOW

I'm just thinking... I'm in the "why can't we all just get along" camp

I think if someone is crazy enough to wade through all this, send in some money, and prove they own / are about to own a MINI/mini, they should be welcome to tag along. They should share a ride in a mMiInNiI to the top... I'm not sure about other driving stretches / lunch parking / etc.

Basically, I looking out for people who either have mechanical reasons that they cannot get their MINI to Mount Washington on that day, or someone who is expecting their brand new MINI "any day now" but winds up not having it in time. I seem to recall a few posts along the lines of "I'd come, but my MINI doesn't get here until the week after" or something like that. And then, there's those pesky woodland creatures (moose, deer, porcupines, etc) and other mechanical problems. These people should be welcomed.

Since I seem to be the only one on the other side of this point, I'll drop it. I just hope my MINI is not in the shop that weekend.

Well Steve, I was minding my own business talking about the things and stuff you know, like the Embroidery and stains on my straight jacket and stuff. Well, then along comes this guy and he wants to talk about other things like well, you know, things. Well, I said something about, well no, that's not exactly right. He said something about, well, brown cars and stuff. Well, I said something about the thing and then he said something else.
