I'm a proud new MINI owner who was wondering what the interest level would be to cruise from Westerly RI to Newport RI some Sunday after Labor Day. My thought would be to cruise ten-mile drive, bring a picnic, fly a kite?
Pincity,
Just saw your car here at work,
VERY NICE!
Since I live in Newport I suppose the wife and I will go!
A RI group would be very nice. If we are not busy we will come, and I might be able to talk the wife into a reverse route where we meet you in Westerly and then drive home so we have a nice drive of it too. Post a date when you pick one.
I would be interested as well. How about 14 Sept. I will be in the RI area, West Warwick for the weekend and am busy on Saturday, but Sunday morning would work just fine. Only a 2 hour drive for me to head home on Sunday from Newport to Maine.

14th sounds great to distant me - My little brother's birthday weekend.
Y'all, what do you say to NoMo's vdub friends? It's a tough call, so feel not bad about wanting to keep it pure. The buck's Co. run was somewhat well attended by other makes, and it wasn't a problem at all.
Early! Bro, this was a late morning. John popped me an email at 5:18 a.m., a couple of banters back and forth and then he was barn storming the neighbors and I was off doing exit 9 clover leaf races by 6:30 or so. Gotta get out before those durned tourists start clogging up the byways!
Regarding the VW's. Don't let them in! Keep it pure and sacrosant. MINIs only.
Of course we let snid into MOT with The Marshmallow but those were extenuating circumstances indeed.
Hmmm, of course it could be interesting to have a MINI vs. VW event.
