I was quoting Ebenezer Scrooge. A modern day PC version of A Christmas Carol would have Scrooge saying he was as giddy as a school child.
Dickens was a bit of a rascal........perhaps he had dark thoughts about school boys Ahhh, no. That would be the version with Michael Jackson playing the role of old Ebenezer.

All those chips... I can feel my arteries clogging now...

This is wicked awesome man...I can't believe I won... I would like to thank my parents... who fed me my first potato chip... mmm that was one good chip... my wife for buying me countless bags of salt and vinegar chips... also my mentor, Chip Bagger, who guided me through the inspirational world of the potato chip... last but not least Cape Cod Mini... you put the Cape Cod in the potato chip.

Or the role of school girl. Only in America could a poor black boy grow up to be a rich white woman AND marry Elvis's daughter

He may be weird and strange but I for one think he is innocent. The real miscreant is the parent who lets his/her child go and stay there in the first place. Looking for $$$$$ in all the wrong places.

Now theres an idea ...
Saturday (which I why I missed the toys run) we were at the North Shore Music Theatre watching the fifteenth anniversary showing of Christmas Carol ... it is very true to the original spirit of the story, and an excellent show.

Now - how about getting MINI owners together for an injection of christmas spirit (the non-alcoholic type) and have a trip to the show one day in December 2004?
Arrive all together and park the MINIs together; watch a great play; go for grub after; probably meet elsewhere (MOP?) before and drive about a bit ...

For the 5th consecutive Christmas season, I have been forced to watch It's A Wonderful Life. I don't mind once or twice a year but each year you know who slaps it into the BR VCR and starts alternating laughs and tears and this is an almost nightly rite from about 12/15 onwards. I tried to get her to alternate with a variety of Christmas Carol versions but she swears that Ebenezar Scrooge reminds her too much of.........Steve Barnatt.

"That's not fair" says I.
"But it's true" says she.
"Nah" says I.

"Just think for a moment......who else do you know is surrounded by wonderful caring people, rich beyond his very understanding, harkened to by the masses yet remains a tortured and miserable man?" "Plus, can't you picture Steve in an old ratty nightshirt?"

Well, as you can imagine, that did it for me. Steve as Stooge. Now who do we have for Tiny Tim and Bob? Or the fatted goose?

The above is pure fiction. As most know, Maureen is far more fond of Steve than she is of me and perhaps justifiably so since she has yet to drive with him and watch the evil gleam grow in his beady little eyes.

Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear.
