| Whoa! I don't know what kind of parties you throw there, Gav, but I'm not getting in the hammock with the two of you!  Pat's the one that wants to share a hammock with you. If I bring calzones, will you stand beside the hammock to keep it gently rocking while fanning me with a palm branch? Secco old and cranky? Never!   |

| You might have to bring the palm branch as well as the calzones. I doubt fanning you with poison ivy has the same appeal..!  Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else. |

| I have a crowd? Wow, I'm flattered.  I would expect the "old" guy to be old-school and be the worst of the salespeople. At the end he explained that he retired and he was just in for the day to help out. Explains why he was so laid back. |

| Admiral Grace Hopper, inventor of the compiler and the first person to document a computer "bug" in 1945 (an actual moth being pummeled by an electro-mechanical relay)? It was my good fortune to spend about an hour with her in the late 80's. I volunteered to pick her up and drop her off at Bradley Airport for her presentation to a Springfield area DPMA meeting. We had a great drive to an from the airport ("I'll provide the conversation; you drive the car!"). She was a hot ticket and had a very unique wit that did, at times, border on philosophy, but most often was intended to tear the "establishment" and "conventional thinking" into shreds. My favorite Hopper quote was: "We went overboard on management and forgot about leadership. It might help if we ran the MBAs out of Washington." I still have the wire "nanosecond" she gave me.
