Sorry, Gav, but I don't make the big bucks like you do, so I have to buy older, second-rate food. Hasn't killed me yet! My brother told me that while at RPI he once saw them loading food into the dining hall. On the boxes of meat were marked "Grade F but edible".

I usually reffered to the meat at school as Grade Q....but I still ate it, of course. Free and unlimited quantities after all!

I know someone who used to work at a milk processing place and he said the levels of growth hormone that ended up in the milk were unbelievable. That's why I drink organic milk because it's the only way to get it hormone free. And people wonder why kids these days are obese... they're not obese, they're just ready for market..!

Spotted this on I93 today on my way to MoP. Hratch identified it as a '49 Citroen -- his family had one when he was just a lad.

No it's not. A good chunk of the "normal" milk in the supermarkets (at least up here) are labeled rBGH/rBST/hormone free, not just the pricy organic stuff. Hood, Booth Bros, New England Family Farms, etc. Bovine growth hormone has been a major political issue here for a long time, maybe that's why. Don't know if the Hood that's in stores in MA is rBGH free, it comes from a different plant (all the Vermont stuff comes from a plant in Barre VT)...

Is that a 2CV? I saw one in Casper Wyoming, of all places, when I was there in 2005.

Nope, it's too big (and nice) to be a 2CV. That one is a Traction Avant. The ol' Deux Chevaux was smaller and more low-frills...

James Bond had a cool chase scene in one in "For Your Eyes Only"...

You were *this* close to getting bad rep for that comment. Smart ass. There was a moment of horror when, after test driving Vinny, the salesman came back and said "Are you having trouble with the transmission?" Oh how my heart started racing. But I stuck to my guns and said "No, why?" "It seems to be slipping a bit." "But it's a brand new transmission." "OH! That's right! I forgot you said that. That would explain it!" and he went on his merry way. PHEW!

Somebody left a set of 4 tires on rims under your windshield wiper?
