A warning to anyone travelling: if you're staying at a Best Western, don't leave out mini-muffins. Despite my leather jacket and laptop sitting out, the maid seemed to think it would be ok to help herself to a packet of my cousin's mini-muffins. We specifically counted the packets as we made fun of our parents and the way they'd always lock everything up before they'd leave a hotel. There were three when we left and two when we got back. Today we both learned a valuable lesson. I won't be leaving a tip, but I have to say that was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long, long time. Who steals muffins?!

Ricardo was sans kilt today. It was very wet rainy and cold. He did have shorts on though. Throwing stones isn't hard at all but if you throw 100lb stones 14 feet then my hat's off to you I have seen these games on T.V. before but never live. I was really surprised how large the caber was. I always knew it was big. There were a couple of guys that had never touched a caber until today. One nearly decapitated himself and the other didn't get much beyond 45 (but he picked it up which is a feat unto itself). There were plently of "ethnic" food there and Ricardo tried to get Louis to by Haggis in a can, he didn't. I did pick up some Malteasers and Penguins though. Muffin thievery? Maybe they figured you would miss your laptop and jacket, who misses muffins. Louis is a bit of a stickler when it comes to locking things and putting them away. He always looks for the devil in people. ![]() "Buy you a soda after the game?"

| To me, there could be nothing more revolting that haggis in a can. However, I suppose it can always be washed-down with wine in a box. | And now I've supplied him with just the ammo he needs to continue his paranoia. It still amuses me to no end, though. Just waiting for Max to wake up so we can get rolling. It's supposed to rain the whole way, and there were lanes closed on both levels of the GW on the way down. Thinking of taking the TZ instead. Ah, and the Mazda received it's first markings: a nice scrape on the lower front bumper from some crap on the road in Jersey (there's a surprise ) and some curb rash. My turning radius seems to be a bit off with the longer car, and I've hit curbs like 3 times this weekend. Guess I'm still in MINI mode. |

So, someone entertain me. Today has sucked. Broken MINI, crappy weather, nothing on TV, stuck inside all day, no chance to visit with Lily, not sure if I'm going to lose out on my already paid for track event at Watkins Glen, mini2 got mad at me because I had three lines of text in my signature (the horror)...

The other day I saw a show about dolphins and the classic "dolphin swimming at the bow of a ship" scene showed up. I asked myself how and WHY they do this. Turns out, the bow waves help with water pressure and making them move through the water easily. Check it out here: Drafting dolphins ride the wakes with ease Science News - Find Articles
