Sure was nice to have the day off yesterday and finally have the chance to wash (now, 2) cars and some other little things I had been meaning to do.

Yeah, a little downtime is always great. Being a contractor, however, I didn't get paid for it. I still think it was worth it. I took a drive up toward Springfield, NH in the morning, and took the hounds over to the Beaver Brook preserve in Hollis. What a great day!

A sunny 74° day a week into October in northern Vermont is not something to be idly wasted! Especially not when the forecast for the week starts with such lofty highs and ends with "Friday Night: A chance of snow or rain showers." Plenty of time for naps when the snow is piling up. Rage, rage against the dying of the light and all that jazz....
