Hopefully not your last, cats are weird indeed, but good critters. My roommates cats are fun to come home to after a long night of work. Except for Cosmo, the howler, keeps me up during the day and loves to crawl all over me while I sleep. He is a climber.

When he moves out, no more cats for me, I am getting a dog...

Les deux and, perhaps, her noggin too.

What has this become? A thread for geeks with cats?

Despite it all, a very very wonderful holiday is in store for all of you...yes, even kilted ones.

Geeze... that'll teach me to not read mini2 yesterday...

Brian is killing time in an airport by playing on the internets? Airports are prime people-watching territory, my boy.

Annette is pulling a 3M about her cat? "Possible medical emergency, what do you strange folks think I should do?"

Hey John,
Did you see that UPS are now planning their routes so that they make only right turns..? I wouldn't have thought it was possible, but I guess it is.
Do you Feds do the same?

Absolutely.....left hand turns are incredible time-wasters. Some beancounting engineer at FedEx did a 3 page white paper on that years ago....couriers are still laughing about it. Drivers for UPS and FedEx have avoided lefts for years. However, both still tend to do any reversing necessary - and we are only to do R if necessary - BEFORE we deliver or P/U. That one I don't get. If it has to be done, it has to be done at some point.

As long as you don't have to turn right into the depot at the end of your shift, surely any right is before some delivery or pick up..!

If I had gone 3M there'd be a full-scale war right now, people taking sides, and me accusing you of being "incapable of love". I had a question, I asked. I don't see what the problem is here.

My Christmas break has begun. I am rewarded with a lovely trip to the DMV and tutoring. I have 4 days to put together a scrapbook and bake several hundred cookies. I don't see this ending well.

Would you rather be baking several hundred calzones?

Definitely not. I actually don't mind baking the cookies, it's the frosting them part that I detest.

You are a nice baker to put frosting on them too!

That was initially my first job. Mom would bake and then force me to frost. Now that I'm older, I'm told that I must bake, and it's just expected that they will be frosted as well. Plus an anginette just isn't the same without that little bit of frosting on top

Agreed!

Just remembered that I've been assigned to go to the store to get some peppermint extract for the same cookie reasons.
I hate going to a store for one thing. Especially this time of the shopping season.
Maybe I'll find a gift in stop & shop.

Annette... do you know how to make cookie frosting that hardens? I have always wondered how to make it (and have it taste yummy too) and want to try when I bake cookies for Saturday.
