| Any snow up there Jason..? I know someone who was planning to go to Mt Snow or Stowe yesterday. I don't know yet if he found any snow... My temp read out said 21 today... That would be normal if I didn't have it set to Centigrade..!! ![]() Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else. |

| I haven't been to Stowe since the day after Thanksgiving (their opening day) even though I have a season pass. My pass was no good during the holiday week, and apparently conditions were pretty good (relatively) right around New Year's Day. The wasm weather yesterday and today, and the rain, has set things back considerably. Only the snowmaking trails are open at Stowe right now (trail count went from 30 a couple of days ago to 15 today, probably less tomorrow). |

| Not so windy here ... out in Margarets convertible to (MA) Burlington & back, saw above 70 most of the way, with a high at 75 |

| The high today up here was 62°. The water has been thundering over the dam here in town just like it was the spring thaw. The grass in front of my condo has turned green again, and actually looks like it could use a mowing. This is re-god-damn-diculous. As much as people (including me) may complain about the weather when it's so cold your face freezes in seconds and the weatherman tells you the high for the day will probably be a negative number (and he ain't talkin' celsius), the bottom line is that I live here because I like it here, I like the variety and the changing seasons. If the cold really bothered me that much, I'd move somewhere else. I don't like this winter so far, it's like we've had 2+ months of "early November" now. Blah. -Ricardo |

| I found a great spot over in East Boston near Constitution Beach for taking pictures of airplanes landing at Logan. It's pretty amazing how close they get to the houses, and how close you can get to the airplanes! ![]() Can anyone recommend a good camera shop in the area (NH, MA, even RI)? I need a new tripod. Cameraland in Nashua has approximately three on the floor. I'm looking at Manfrotto/Bogen supports, but it's kind of hard to choose (especially a head) without seeing them in the flesh. |

| Calumet in Cambridge are excellent. They usually have a lot of tripods and heads. Digital Cameras, Camcorders, Photography Equipment - CALUMET ![]() Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else. |

| *Almost* made it there yesterday, but one (more) wrong turn off Storrow sent me over the Tobin Bridge and I gave up. I really need to get a map of Boston instead of depending on the GPS! ![]() Thanks, Ian. Looks like I can hit both Calumet and Hunts in Cambridge! |
| ||||
| Hunts in Cambridge is on a one way section off Harvard Sq... if you can't get from Storrow to Calumet, you might not make it..! ![]() Seriously, Calumet have their own parking (two lots), Hunts is probably easiest to get to on foot. ![]() Religion is like a huge dog.
