Well done getting Zarquon; that was in my head but I thought I was mixed up with Zaphods "Holy Zarquon Singing Fish" curse ...
So, I hereby propose that we get Keiths screen name changed from SlvrBullet to Zarquon

I asked Joel about the MC40, did they sell it since they couldn't even sell it on ebay. He said they have sold everything and nothing is left, just like a good salesman. Of course, walking into the showroom, there was the MC40 sitting right there. Tho Ian may have a point that it is more "common" than any other mini, it is still rare, and one look at those sweet seats and you know it's well worth it!

Well...2nd tow in one weekend.

I will be picking it up sometime tomorrow afternoon. Josh, when are you going and how are you getting there? If you are leaving from work, could I possibly catch a ride up there? Either way, we should figure something out.

I will head home first, then hitch a ride with my GF or roomate up there, since I can't drive myself as I can't drive two cars at once (I don't think) back. So I don't know when I'll be going till they show up. How are you getting to work, and where are you? Possibly I could grab you on my way home then you can come up with whoever I get a ride with. I'll be lucky to get up there by 6:30pm

Josh, you don't want to be at MOP too early - give them time to work on the car! When I met Randolph there for lunch, your MINI was sitting outside and Joel is not in on Monday

Josh, I work 4:30am-12:30pm...I just got the call that my car is done but I work till 8 tonight. I can get my car between 1 and 5 tomorrow so if you want...I could just pick you up from Wood St. and I could take you in. Or if you want to go home and wait for your gf or friend then that's cool. Maybe Ian could show up too?

Ian, did you see my car? The green one with ugly wheels. I actually had to just drop it off because I ended up having to work from 1-8 today.

I have to have my current car sitting in my driveway before I head up, it's losing its plates

Ian isn't the shop only open till 4 anyway? Plus, I don't think Joel is doing the installation Well hopefully they will be able to do everything in the short time they have tomorrow. No satellite install, they're backordered

That's the one thing I don't like about MOP, very short service window. My Ford dealer in IL was open for service till midnight 4 nights a week, and till 8 the remaining 3 days! You don't see anything like that around here. Plus with no loaners, well lets just hope I'll never have to bring it in.

Jared,
Yes they were busy working on your car when I was visiting. Pleased for you that you will have it back.

Josh,
Now that I failed to "wind you up" ... when I returned from lunch Brian was busy doing the driving lights on your car. Gary was confident that if they have the lights done today (which should have happened) then the JCW should be no problem for tomorrow. Garys only issue was that Joel only "booked the car" late Friday, and they are expected to have everything done by tomorrow.
As for their hours not being as long as a Ford dealership - you have to remember that the MINI is still a small customer base compared with Ford, etc (even given the larger number of dealers), plus most MINIs are not very old, so need relatively little work done on them.
No loaners is no problem - sticking around while the work is done is fun

Agreed about MOP's service hours... Ian, can you work on that..?
Seriously all you MOP lurkers, please can we have extended service hours..??!! You've sold more MINIs than anyone else haven't you, surely you'll have to extend the hours just to fit us all in!
I'm going to be up there early tomorrow. Jared, are you working dawn til 1pm..? 'Fraid I'm no help if so as I'll be heading up about 7.30am. Probably too early to see Ian and get my stamp too

My statement was generalized...my Ford dealer here has the same crappy hours. But I definately understand it is hard for them to get decent techs and hours for low volume. But then again remember MOP *IS* the highest volume dealer in the US!

Of course HC service is open weekends. I could always go there...

Now they didn't totally PROMISE to have it to me tuesday. If they don't, well I know to blame pezboy and windshadow
