the door panel in this case is not being discussed for sound, but for sight. At the ice races last winter I had somehow brushed some of the shoe polish we were using to mark cars onto Jared's inside passenger door panel. we've been trying to find a way to get the last of it off and are sincerely open for suggestions.

Josh...they are higher profile since they are nonrunflat snows, although in the winter I didn't notice any difference in sound. I don't think it's anything to worry about so hopefully once I get the replacements all worked out it will be alright. I think the moving-out roommate at this house is out at the end of July. So the very beginning of August I guess. I need to call and find out for sure though. I'm going to do that this weekend so I will let you know.
