Bad response Grasshopper. Better to agree with the officer when he says he doesn't think they can go that fast. 'Your are absolutely correct officer. These little Solar/Electric Hybrids are notoriously slow. I can't possibly have been going fast. You said so yourself. Can you imagine the grief back in ther locker room when your buddies find out you gave a speeding ticket to one of these little things. Must be something wrong with your equipment. As you say, these little things can't go fast". Mass does indeed share info with CT. I got a letter almost a year after the fact from CT saying my driving privlidges would be suspended if I did not pay the Mass fine from 10 months prior.

Hah. My parents' neighbor handed me an envelope that said Do not open except in case of emergency for my car. It contained a rubber band. He said he wasn't sure if he got the right horsepower rating on it. Ha. I was taking a picture of it down by the marina, and overheard a conversation 10 feet away of the guy telling his friend "Yeah they're way underpowered though." I put my camera down and just yelled yup, only 200hp! Fine with me. If everyone thinks my car is slow, they'll feel that much more stupid when they wonder how I left them in the dust after the traffic light. Oh, that's right, solar power. It must have been a sunny day.

Yo, Maxie, sorry I lost you BUT I expect a full report from Miss Amy on how she spent $1000. I'm sure she had a terrific time at that fine dealership. Whole bellies rule! Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear.

That is sad news they did not used to share except for DUI. as to laser detection I was warned from the scatter when they lased cars ahead of me but even if they hit you they have to hold the track for 6 sec to get a lock that will stand up in court (presuming that they play by ther rules) so it is still worth hitting the binders when ever you get a laser alarm also the X50 is the new and improved version of the 8500 and if you use the spectrum analyzer display you can even make sense out of the mess on I-95 between New Haven and Newark it works for me what can I say but it is not a get out of jail free card it has to be used intelligently and I do not really have a need for it unless traffic is light and I do not have to weave between lanes... when traffic is thick I drive with the locals as to speed except I tend to leave a much larger gap between my Ghillir and the car in front... and once in a while I have been known to use the rear fogs to suggest to a tailgater that he might want to increase his spacing S BRG/W Randolph 3 PAC NAV Mid Coast Maine, U.S.A. ![]() Last edited by Windshadow; Jun 28th, 2004 at 11:31 PM.

Hit a dead cell just as I was motoring 45 mins South to intercept Amy and Mike in Red Spider after redeeming the $1000. When I left thet still had a couple hours to travel. Amy picked out a "S" gas cap and upgraded to Sport Seats with heat. She is going to have one sweet ride for the Fifth Anniversary MINIs On Top 2007. The car will soon be hers. She commented how quickly the dollars mount. She had to pay out of pocket for the Nitrous. I picked up a few things myself while I was on the road.

| The V1 is no more bulkier than any other top of the line RD. And since in most cases I see them before they see me, I can deal with its size. As far as laser goes, if your not first in line then your most likely going to get the warning and slow down. So let the guy in the SUV that feels threatened by the Mini go blowing by you... My fave is NH, they love to hide just in the shadows on the Highways. Coming down Rt.3 at 2am yesterday morning and he was sitting under a bridge after exit 1 going south. As I crested the hill he was sitting there, I saw him as my lights reflected. Luckly at night I only do 60 in Nashua so by the time he POP'ed me I was doing close to 55. What was funny is when I passed him he switched from his rear radar to his front and kept it on for a while... So the moral is use the RD as an Aid but don't rely on it 100%.
