£££££
woo hoo... look at me
Thanks Jared - easiest solution yet (although I like the idea of a little Union Jack in the menu bar)
Just £ like £ being £ back £ home £

Do I have to type two ££ for every one $..??

Who can tell me where the Euro symbol hides..?

Jeff, I know it *is* possible to support the same type of "same-key-different-character" mode that Randolph seems to be describing, but I have never used it so don't know how to set it up. Certainly can't be bothered to read help files or Google for the answer
I can easily call up Character Map and click the symbols to get £££££££ or €€€€€ or whatever ... there is even a feature where you can type the name of the character (pound or euro) and it pops up the symbol; neat and new to me!

Ian have you decided on your graphics for #3 yet?

I find the swaping of the keyboarb map on the Mac a lot easyer for me than the Char map when I use my PC (yes I use both I am not a religious fanatic realy... but the PC is not connected to the outside world anymore I use for playing with CAD/CAM as right now it is the cheapest place to do that but with more and more PC makers droping Parallel ports that CAM uses the developers will need to come up with USB or firewire based systems and then I expect the PC domination of CAM to end)

Randolph, have you used any of the newest Ashlar-Vellum CAD products on the Mac..? I downloaded a trail of Cobalt, but haven't really had chance to try it out. We use Solidworks at work, but I'd love to able to find an OS X CAD/CAM solution...

I think you meant to type COD ALERT not geek alert.

On PCs I remember you used to be able to hold down the Alt key and type in the ASCII number and when you let go it would input that character. Very useful back in the days of ANSI BBSes.

So, who's going to set up the housewarming party tour? How far apart are Windshadow's place and Gavin's? Whose got the bigger TV? Is there anyone else who needs their new home invaded? Ricardo... didn't you mention getting a new condo?

Randolph is a bachelor so I think our odds are better with him.
At Gavin's it would have to be a hit and run before Jane realizes what is happening.

I'll readily admit that Randolph has a better home theater too. And a pub. A real bachelor pad..!

Interchangeable. Funny how all COD synonyms have double vowels, i.e. Tool, Geek etc
