| JCW Airbox Control Flap Override? Not sure if anyone here knows anything about electrical circuits and the MINI ( ), but I ran across THIS interesting question posted on MINI2. I seem to remember that someone here (whose initials resemble Integrated Circuit) has worked with MINI circuits before and has a JCW airbox on their new MCS. Perhaps a little investigation is in order?Theo "The problem with using quotes from internet sources is that you can never be sure they are authentic." - Abraham Lincoln |

| Who's in the Beacon Hill area? The PlayStation game Gran Turismo 4 has a photo mode, and one of the settings is Beacon Hill. Look at this post for a picture from the game: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showpost....43&postcount=3 I think we should have someone post a real picture from Beacon Hill as a comparison. |

| The electrics may be a little more complicated than that. In the airbox installation instructions, is shows a splice into an existing wire running to the cabin. I assume this is a signalling wire for the tachometer. If that is the case, then the airbox must have a circuit that senses the 4500 rpm signal pattern for the solenoid to be actuated. Our strategy would be to splice in between the airbox circuit and the solenoid with a switched current, then? Wouldn't it be loverly if the wire running to the solenoid from the airbox circuit had some kind of standard connector that would allow a "Y" cable to be built and installed? | Yeah, and my poor compadre StarMINI of Dennisport is taking flack from you and you haven't even met them. I'm suggesting to him that the next book has an old fart MINI driver from NH character that gets knocked off in a wicked heinous fashion.
