Moved and seconded. One doesn't bomb Britain into neutrality. It may have worked with Spain but this is Mr. Churchill's home after all.

London has been bombed liked few others before it. The V2 rocket only tested their resolve. This is the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar. They held off Napolean and eventually confined his empire to an insignificant Atlantic island.

Tommy is tough. They will prevail. My heart is heavy but my heart is with them.

Thank you Steve.

I was told at MoP today that Keith was transferred to the Shepherd Center on Wednesday. Also that he has been able to speak - which presumably means the tracheotomy has been removed, surely another good sign since his lungs must be recovering so he can now breathe without external assistance.

Keith has begun what we must all wish is his road to recovery.

[edit]
Be sure to read the latest news on Care For Keith if you have not seen it - it would seem sadly that the tracheotomy remains in place and his lungs remain infected, but he is now in ICU at the Shepherd Center instead of Beth Israel ...

Initial thoughts on the JCW suspension upgrade, after about 200 miles of wet pavement, and 10 miles or so of dry:

For the comfort / performance scale, it appears to be at about the same point as my Borla exhaust. When motoring, all seems right with the world. When tooling around (he said "tool"), most of the time you don't notice much of a change from stock. Every once in a while, you wonder just why you did what you did to your car.

The biggest performance difference I've noticed so far is much less front / back weight transfer during accleration / braking / lift throttle. I used to be able to get a fairly sizeable change in car attitude by lifting off the throtle during a hard turn (the understeer would lessen noticably). With the JCW suspension, lifting off the throttle in the middle of a hard turn didn't seem to do much at all in terms of understeer / oversteer.

Since I really only got to make 4 turns on dry pavement, I cannot say too much about what the upgrade did to the handling.

My springs are red now!

I sent a msg to Keith earlier. It's so good to get more positive news on Keith's condition. He continues to push doctor's expectations, let's hope he keeps it up!

Be positive, love your life!

I spent the first part of my life growing up in London. It was the very early 50s and the city was still in the process of demolishing and rebuilding its war-ravaged infrastructure. Streets were flanked by whole city blocks of devastated buildings, their facades fallen to the ground exposing an eerie cross-sectional view of multi-story flats with furniture and pictures in situ. What loss of life came with this destruction!

And now, after 9-11, I realize that the aftermath of the destruction looked very much like the World Trade center area...except in London it covered great portions of an entire city! Strangely, however, there were areas in the middle of the devastation that looked completely untouched. I remember a small park with a little merry-go-round. It was full of hedges and flower beds, a fountain, soft green lawn and black iron benches. I used to stand in the center of the merry-go-round and slowly spin around viewing the bombed-out buildings that encircled the park. Each revolution was counted with the aid of a visual reference point: a four-story flight of stairs leading to nowhere which was left standing in the rubble next to the park.

It seems that great resolve has been shown by Londoners; is it any wonder considering what Britain went through between 1939 and 1945?

Is that the 'little woman' standing loyally in the background?

I am re-writing my will over the next few days. Anyone want in? Please specify personal items desired. I thought I'd do a reverse and solicit $$$ instead of giving it away. Please respond with your name and amount of your pledge. Thank you from Maureen and my kids and granddaughter, the amazing Miss Jane Sutherland Lindstrom.

To my knowledge, there's not a drop of Welsh in me. Scotch from last night, Italian, Irish, English but no Welsh. Actually, a touch of Druid would be nice.

Rest easy, the future of the Babes is secured. Harvard and Yale it is. It are? Aw, it's Saturday.

I believe the proper verb would be bakering. As in "No bakering the promises made to Emma and Anna."

Here's a very unscientific attempt at showing how much (little) the JCW suspension dropped my car. Two photos, taken from about the same angle, with the same lens - scaled in photoshop so that the body of the car is as close to the same size as possible, then placed so the wheels overlap as closely as possible.

I think the picture makes the drop look bigger than it really is. I think the official "drop" is "about 10 mm", or 1cm, or a less than half an inch.

Hey Snid. Use a tripod. Your picture is blurry. Almost like a double image. Check your equipment.

Nah, it's just double dipped in chocolate.

Was at Larz today, there was another chocoMINI there. Not on display though, it was hidden behind a tent.
