| Had a good morning at MacWorld, enjoyed lunch with Gavin. Headed up to MOP for my wipers and touch-up paint, showed Brian my annoying torque click, which he had seen before and thinks it was just a CV joint needing lube and would need to schedule it for a day. I said I'll wait as it was no big deal. Chatted with Martin for a while on Keith and future MOP events, and Brian came in and said they have a free bay. 15 minutes later I had a whole new driveshaft installed. Again and again, MOP goes above and beyond. Came home, washed the car, and touched up some paint chips. What would you do with a day off work? |

| I would Leave my house at 7:30AM, motor to Saratoga Springs, NY. There I would pick up a four stack Barrister bookcase c1910 that I won on ebay. Have lunch at a local ice cream bar then scoot home. What a great drive! Up rte.89 to White River, across rte.4 through Quechee, Woodstock, Killington etc... 398.8 miles round trip. Ave mpg 30.1 Tomorrow will be a shorter ride, I think!? Off to Arlington,MA then to MoP to have lunch with Hrach. Back to MoP, visit for a while, then motor to Hampton Motors on rte.1.Then off to Northwood,NH to have dinner with my Aunt and Uncle. And one last stop in Raymond to visit my Grandparents before scooting home! Phew!! Hope you all have a GREAT day! Last edited by DanzMINI2; Jul 13th, 2005 at 03:49 AM. Reason: add pic |

| Nice bookcase, Dan! When my sister bought her house, several of these were left behind in the basement. Of course they were missing the glass and the oak needed a little work. She had no use for them (I had dibs) until a friend mentioned their value to her. Now they are refinished and sit proudly in her study; home to a collection of fairly old leather-bound books. But my real question is: which Mini/MINI did you fit these in? I know they are stackable sections but it still must have been a tight squeeze!
