A lot of the hillclimb cars are purpose-built, so it can be difficult to identify them. For example this Corvette is owned and run by a guy I know from Acworth, NH.

The nose (and the yellow fender badge) looks like a lot like a Ferrari 250 GT Lusso Berlinetta, but given the rarity and value of those, I'd be surprised if it was. But you never know. The body is way more flared than the Lusso, but none of that body looks original anyhow, everything forward of the doors appears to be a one-piece clip. Maybe it's a kit?

yeah..

I'm thinking it's a kit myself, probably a custom job....

so I was wondering... do ya think I should ship the "New" Mini off to Washington to get Mike Lvallee to do his Flame wizardry on it?.. it's gonna be solid black and I'm thinking it would look hot with a paint job like soo....

I found the mystery hill climb car. It's an SSZ Stradale. Apparently, it's from Wisconsin.

This is the guy who was driving it:

ya know...

the pictures just aren't doing it for me... it just looks like they're taking a nice drive up a country road.. am I missing something here? Just seems like an awful lot of car to go up roads that , although a bit narrow, aren't THAT impressive... *shrug* what kind of speeds are they hitting?..maybe that'd change my mind...

So it's race-modded version of a quasi-kit car (sold as a rolling chassis) that was originally designed to be built off an Alfa chassis, with a Chevy engine (instead of the Nissan engine they apparently normally get), and with a body that borrows liberally from various 60's Italian marques. And it's from Wisconsin. Well, they've gotta do something out there besides eating cheese and watching the Packers...

The guy who did my "S" on the roof (and marked out GBMINI#2 roof too), is apparently good at flames; he is desperate to do a MINI - might want to chat with Julian at Sublime and see if he can get you in touch with Scott at ThinAirGrafx.

PM me Julien's phone number when you get the chance... I lost it, need to call him anyways, because he was working on someone's Volvo and I guess they were looking for a Mini for their kid or something... wondering if he ever heard any more on it...

The results page is up for my autocross. I did better than I thought (overall).

Second out of four in my class, 24th out of 46 overall. Not bad for my first autocross.

Results are here:
