| This time on Saturdays in my neck of the woods, it's Car Talk time. While driving home from one of the best bread bakeries around, I heard this: It was last week's "puzzler" but on their website it's listed still as "this week's" Morris Minor on Cape Cod Thought you might enjoy it. | I'm back... I was away for a week near Nelson, British Columbia, Canada doing some snow-cat served snowboarding. Back at the new/old job now. It's wierd, Verizon managed to get me a computer to work on right away, but took over a week to get me a phone. IBM had the phone working when I showed up, but took a week to get me a computer... Anyway, here's my pictures from the snowboarding trip: http://homepage.mac.com/jtross/PhotoAlbum31.html |

| Well I went to a body shop today to have them look at an area where an egg hit (It was a drive by egging). I found out that this egg is going to cost me $650.00!!! I can't describe how upset I am. Has this happened to anyone else? |

| Great pictures, Jason. Skiing/boarding in the West is great fun. Getting used to the altitude isn't. But the powder and the vista and the skies and the open world makes any headache worth it. And, as we all know, if you can ski/board in the East, you can do it anywhere. I wanted a Rocky Mountain PSIA badge once...never got it but my offspring did. Glad you are back safely. | I guess it was only a matter of time, but someone has used their master's thesis to do a study on how seemingly normal people act like complete asses in the warm anonimity of cyberspace... http://www.msu.edu/user/trescami/thesis.htm Interesting reading... -Ricardo |

| Me too... I got to experience firsthand one of the hazards of skiing / riding wild snow. That's me to the left of that little tree. http://www.topozone.com/pictures/BC-04/IMG_1274.jpg |

| I've only taken a quick look but I'm sure this isn't the first report on the subject - so don't worry Maxamini, I'm sure you're in a more up-to-date version. First love: MC CVT Indi Blue/White '04 Past MINI: MC CVT PW/Black '06 Present MINI: MCCa Pure Silver/BLK '09 w/roof rails |

| [quote=ontheroadagain]This time on Saturdays in my neck of the woods, it's Car Talk time. BTW, I suggested to Max that he invite the Tappet Bros. to MOT. That was a bad Puzzler because everyone knows that, if it has been raining, Morris cars would not start, with or without plugs, for two weeks. Another Lucas frustration. I'm looking for some tires for my 16" wheels to become my 'summer' wheels. I want something with some decent performance, so I've been reading reviews and had decided on something like the Yoko AVS 100, the Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 or the Goodyear Eagle F1. I know they're all available through tirerack, but I haven't had much luck finding a local drop ship place on their website that can handle the runflats that are on there now. So I asked at the local mall tire place... They can get the Kumho for $140 plus $16 fitting. They are $75 on tirerack..!!!So, that's made my decision about where to buy them... now how to get them mounted. Does anyone know if these places that charge double the online price will mount tires you bring in yourself..? I hope I can find somewhere that does because I need to do some mix & match with the 17" tires I've got..! How much is a tire moutning machine... Maybe we should do a group buy..! ![]() Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else. |

| My local Firestone shop will do mounting and balancing, switching tires, etc. at a reasonable price. They don't mind that the tires weren't purchased from them. Just make sure you go to a place that has a machine for runflats. I'm surprised that there isn't anyone in your area to drop ship at. Call Alex at The TireRack and ask him directly. Sometimes he has more up to date information. If you order directly from him he gets the commission.
