| Well, I think I'm going to be to blame for a minor domestic distubance soon; My TiVo owning brother loves the popping and booming. It amuses him. His girlfriend (long term, live-in, mortgage-sharing girlfriend) absolutely hates the sounds. Drives her nuts. My brother has managed to keep his popping and booming by claiming that you can't turn the sounds off, that you can only turn them down a bit. I think he's done this just to drive her insane. So this evening I e-mailed her a link to the page on TiVo's site that tells how to turn the sounds off. Ooooh, I'm such a bad brother... -Ricardo  "2 minutes by yourself and...you feel shame, you know...and then you get free"  |

| They also do not include JC's anti US rants or the "star in a small car section" the show is repackaged by discovery networks with new intro bits and recut to fit a 51 min run time to have space for the commercials... some of also down load the UK version via bitorrent so we can see both versions... | Hi Windy - long time no see. How've you been..? Got any pointers for UK TopGear on BitTorrent..? You're right about them cutting the star in a reasonably priced car. That's a fun section, but I guess most US viewers would say "Who..? That's not a star!" if it wasn't people like Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt.   Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else. |

| oh fair to middling I guess I do not do well in the heat so I am looking forward to the fall... when are you going to come up for a visit? work starts on he pub this fall too try this link http://www.mininova.org/search/?search=top%20gear I have good luck with the VUK torrents realy any of tthe .avi ones but not the GOTHIC ones and I find http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ to be by far the best OS X client now if only someone would provide torrents of my other fav programe Chan 4s "Time Team " hosted by Baldrick... | We have Replay TV. Easy to us and, as far as I know, no crazy popping noises. Louis wanted Replay and not Tivo. Not sure the reason but got a 40hr Replay TV for $45 and 3 years of free service. Have Tivo do that! Beth P.S. T-minus 7 days till the big move! |

| Soooo I go thru the NH ez-pass for the first 2 times yesterday and each time the booth display say to call ez-pass. So I do and I explain what happened (as I am a law abiding MINI driver I tell them that I owe 2 tolls). The lady at the other end says don't worry about it Try again and if I get the same display go to customer service. Don't worry about getting a ticket (yea right). Anyone else had this????  |
