So your saying that they are not for the "ample frame" type of person?

Or if I get one buy stock in Land'o'Lakes butter, because just to get in every day I will have to "lube up".

The appeal, my friend, seems to be all that MINI is, and much MORE. I know what you mean about looks, if that's what you mean.

The Lotus Elise started with the Rover K Series engine. Lotus eventually started modifying the engine to suit their specific applications, eventually supplying the engine in 120, 135, 156, and 190 horse power variations.
In 2004, Lotus modified the Elise for the American market and installed the Toyota 2ZZ-GE, 1.8 liter, variable lift and timing engine.

Aren't all cars though..? Performance, handling, looks (if you like them) and it gets you from A to B during the week too
The Toyota engine is not just for the US market (though it was installed as an easy route to Federal Emissions). In Europe it's going to be sold as the Elise 111.

A NeXT Cube? My college rolled out labfuls of those beasts when I was there. Steve Jobs himself came to see what was, at the time, the largest grouping of NeXTs in the world. Of course, I didn't get to see him. But, I did use the cubes, and later stations (pizza boxes) and color cubes and color stations...

It's wierd how much of Mac OS X is NeXT...

Oh, yeah meant the PowerBook in the top picture. I see.
