yeah, me too. Not only was kieth my MA, but last week I provided them with my email so they could send me the details and I never got anything, seems there's something missing in their MIS dept. If they're not getting a good turnout, I'm afraid they are mostly to blame. out of my mind.........back in five minutes.

Hi, I'm new here.... * I never get any notices from Peabody or Herb Chambers for that matter. I suspect that it is Martin who sends these things out and he is 'busy' doing other stuff. This doesn't bum me out BUT it is certainly not Ian's profession to play PR guy to a successful business regardless of the quality of the event. Ian does it, I am sure, because he cares about the cause first and foremost and for that I applaud him. As I think I have stated before, I believe the aura of MINI of Peabody is dimming a tad. At least with me it is and the lack of timely communication for this important event is a good example. If we cannot make the event, we can always choose to donate via careforkeith. * Please note that I am no longer a Privilege Member here despite numerous PMs to Mr. Mullett. I have, at hand, a treasured note from Ed Smith stating that I won a year's extension of said status at MOT '05. Despite my communicating this to mini2 frequently starting in September, they apparently aren't buying it or cannot figure out the keystrokes or something.... Sorry, I'm in a seasonal funk. Annette, I know I owe you a note. Soon, my sweet. Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear.

My work is steady. There is no such thing as a busy mapping "season". Occasionally we'll get a request from another department or one of the towns we serve asking us to deliver some kind of map or analysis by a specific date, but aside from that it's just a steady stream of work. My boss doesn't expect us to show up, work for 8 hours straight, and go home. You need to break it up a little, so I pop onto here periodically. Derek, your biscotti are on the way, along with your calzone and brownies. And Ricardo, Sicilians and Italians DO NOT mix. Lousy bums. Alright, it really doesn't matter to me, and my neighbor and I joke about it all the time (he's Sicilian), but historically speaking, there's a lot of bad blood there. Mr. Secco, good to see you back. Note received and returned.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Damn this class! Damn it to all hell! Thanks to this stupid VB class I now have to miss out on a test drive of the new Miata (or MX-5 as they insist on calling it now). It's going to be sunny and 70, and they were going to drive with the top down. And I can't go because I have to be back right at 1 for this dumb class. I was supposed to go with one of the VPs here. He's pretty much set on getting one and he said if there's another nice day next week maybe we'll go again. He also wants a ride in the MINI. So to reiterate: Instead of cruising with the top down in a Miata, I will be locked in a windowless room. I'm going to cry now. |

Gavin, sounds like you & I shared many footsteps (as well as the big step across the pond!) ... My MARS discussion was also in the coin-up dept, and way back when at Sevcon, we worked with Simon for a while too ... and now, we work with Snorkel both here in USA and in NZ (maybe I need a customer visit out there )

Yikes!! This thread is back in action! Like the old days! Good news concerning the event is I am off for veteran's day before...so that certainly helps my chances of having the day free. And by no means is it a bad deal, you are probably getting most of (if not more than) the ADSS school, which costs $75. PLUS a BBQ lunch. NOW you're talkin'...as long as they don't have a sobriety test. I love smalldog. Amazing to see them survive so long.

Priv isn't kicking in for a lot of people...there is a thread about it over in the Site Feedback forum or whatever. But, I also emailed Paul about it before I found the thread...and heard nothing back from him. "Just keep heading into the wind. Don't let anything blow you over." Ed Smith / MaxaMini 6/14/05
