My pal, Road Kill Phil, said that, if it hadn't been for the paint, mmmm, mmmm, mmmm that possum'd be sooo tasty. Yep, JB, that was me. We're not a wealthy state like MA and so we try different ways to fix our roads. This is a newfangled product some traveling salesguy wanted us to try. Said it had a number of uses. One of them was interesting since, this time of year, my supply of corn cobs gets mighty low.

All that aside, I now need to ask the burning question:

How was school today? Any bullies give you a hard time?

No school today for me. That means, among other things, not having to see rolls of baby fat, etc flowing from half Tshirts, no plumbers' butts (both sexes), no outrageous young cleavage, no unwanted views of boxer shorts. In other words, no kids who, if mine, would never have been allowed out the front door or who, if in my school, would have been sent home to change. What are parents doing???????

Actually, I am finding that I like middle school kids much more than I had thought I would. They are hysterically funny despite themselves and their emerging personas (personae?)

Lock 'em up, JB

Like your new location John..! Ready for summer then..? Is the car going to get more and more black and less and less yellow as the season progresses..!?
I'll second your comments about school kids and parents..! (Am I allowed to say that as I'm not a parent..!?)

Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else.

The Label and the t-shirt

SALES SKYROCKET AFTER MEDIA EXPOSE' ON BAG LABELS

TOM BIHN DESIGNS T-SHIRTS BASED ON LABELS; ALL PROCEEDS TO GO TO HOMELESS VETERANS' CHARITY

PORT ANGELES, WA: Tom Bihn, a Port Angeles-based company that designs, manufactures and sells laptop bags, messenger bags, backpacks and briefcases, has garnered worldwide media attention this week after a Web blog posted the contents of the label sewn into most bags.

The inside label carries instructions on washing and caring for the bags. Because the bags are sold in Canada, the instructions are also printed in French. The French version, however, contains an additional phrase: "NOUS SOMMES DESOLES QUE NOTRE PRESIDENT SOIT UN IDIOT. NOUS N'AVONS PAS VOTE POUR LUI."

Translated to English, the phrase reads, "We are sorry that our President is an idiot. We did not vote for him."

This week, reports have aired on Seattle, Chicago and California NBC affiliates, on Seattle's KOMO radio and the nationally syndicated Paul Harvey radio show, on MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann", and on the Port Angeles cable station PNN. Bihn has fielded inquiries from German, Irish and other international media outlets.

The company has recorded record sales this week -- with sales more than double all previous weeks in the company's history. Customers have flocked to the Seattle and Port Angeles stores to scoop up the bags with the now infamous label. E-mails and calls have poured into the store, with many customers ordering directly from the company's Web site at www.tombihn.com.

The "secret" message began as an inside joke among seamstresses and staff at the Tom Bihn factory, and was apparently intended to poke fun at company's founder and president, Tom Bihn.

Bihn has created a t-shirt featuring the label, and will donate all proceeds of the sale of the shirts to the Seattle Vet Center, specifically towards its Homeless Vet Program. The t-shirt is available for purchase on its Web site and at its Seattle retail store.

Tom Bihn products are proudly made in its Port Angeles, Washington, factory.

Supplies are limited. Be controversial. Place your order today.

Note: Feelings run strong on this issue. If you have something to say, we want to hear it. Please post in our forums. · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · ·

Yes, I've ordered my t-shirt

If they had one that said ""NOUS SOMMES DESOLES QUE NOTRE SUPREMO DIKTATORIO y GRANDE POTENTATO SOIT UN IDIOT. NOUS N'AVONS PAS VOTE POUR LUI" I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

And, yeah I know. What I inserted makes absolutely no sense in Francais. Just deal with it, OK?

If the Presidency is supposed to represent "The Best and Brightest" the nation has to offer, it is the strongest unspoken argument for de-evolution.

"Translated to English, the phrase reads, 'We are sorry that our President is an idiot. We did not vote for him.' "

Odd, I have the same message on my MOT confirmation and clingy thingy. Was this CCM person appointed, annointed, or has he assumed power by de facto de fault?

BTW If nominated I will not run. If elected I will not serve. Campaign contributions will however be gratefuly accepted. Please forward all monies to my campaign headquarters at the Town and Country of New Hampshire.

JB, your French ain't bad and I like that little bit of Spanish (y) in there, too. And then, the Quack to the Max opines that CCM owes his meteoric rise to the MOT throne by one of a number of power routes.

Let it be known that the Mad Cod's political viewpoints may differ from some who live to sit side by side with such brilliants as Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh (when available). However his sense of fun within the boundaries is set only by the amount of hard cash we give him is highly democratic.

I am, of course, apolitical as there are no candidates worth mentioning. I do have a call in to Mr. Perot and the Admiral as well as ....wait a minute ! Let's draft Lieberman and Powell or Mc Cain or maybe we can all see the world as it could be under the astute leadership of the Reverand Al. Or Penn and Teller, Siegfried and Roy, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, JLo and some guy from the Grand Concourse, Larry Flynt and Pat Robertson........

Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear.

Sean Hannity is one of the most opinionated, rude, arrogant blow hards around. That numb nut so often sounds so petty and childish. I don't know how Allen Coombs can sit by and not smack him. Coombs has the patience of a monk. Hannity constantly interrupts and makes inane sophomorish remarks. What a dope. He deserves no respect because he gives none.
