MOP had the "pleasure" of dealing with me hanging around for 3 hours, but the new windshield is in. I forgot what it was like to see so clearly, it's like the day I got my glasses. It is also the first time I've ever seen the service bays completely empty. And they have a ton of invenory right now folks--get the word out. Also, martin said they should be getting an alignment rack in soon.

RIP Thayard (sp?) Nicholas. As Gregory Hines once said...to make a movie of you and Harold, they'd need computer generated animation 'cause no human can do what they did. Ignore the logic, the Brothers WERE the best. Got a letter from Herbie yesterday offering to buy SCAR-GO...well, accept it as trade. Wrote them back immediately. Told them NoNo was first in line except that she insists I install an 8 track with all the ABBA cassetes readily available. Could be a deal buster 'specially since she has spurned my offer to allow her to feed me in March. boston.com reports that the Keene PD's computer system in the patrol cars interfers with the computer system of Keene area Dunkin' Donuts. An issue for Homeland Security for sure. FedEx sending me to Dover, VT today on some senseless delivery. Something about license plates. 5 to 1 it's for a Subaru. Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear.

![]() (from: http://www.nicholasbrothers.com/index.htm) Fayard?....As in The Nicholas Brothers? I saw a number of old movies with those guys dancing like there was no tomorrow. If you appreciate tap and superhuman timing, speed, flexibility, and incredible (if not daring) choreography, these guys are worth a rental. Look for: "Pie Pie Blackbird" (1932) "Kid Millions" (1936) "The Big Broadcast" (1936) (also Burns & ALlen, Bob Hope, W.C. Fields [if I remember]) "Black Network" (1937) "Calling All Stars" (1937) "Sun Valley Serenade" (1941) "Orchestra Wives" (1942) "Stormy Weather" (1943) (The Brothers' personal favorite) "Carolina Blues" (1944) (Harold) "The Reckless Age" (1944) (Harold) "Uptown Saturday Night" (1944) (Harold) "The Pirate" (1948) "The Liberation of L.B. Jones" (1970) (Fayard dramatic role) "Tap" (?) (Harold) (with Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis, Jr.) "That's Dancing!" (1985) (typically available as a rental) "The Five Heartbeats" (1991) (Harold) "Funny Bones" (1995) (Harold) (List from: http://www.nicholasbrothers.com/index.htm) Now, if you're ready to see these guys in action, click HERE to go to "Maxwell DeMille's Screening Room" for a VERY early movie clip of the Brother's singing and dancing (Fayard is on the left). How many of their moves can you spot that were mimicked by Michael and Janet Jackson? The Jacksons were actually students of the Nicholas Brothers. OK, too much coffee and too many film course memories! Theo "The problem with using quotes from internet sources is that you can never be sure they are authentic." - Abraham Lincoln |

With the drained weight of small 'scargo' being about $54 per lb (not including shells) I would think you'd go for Herb's "market value deal" at about $140,400. everything you know is wrong gnorw si wonk uoy gnihtyreveLast edited by Oldpaint; Feb 24th, 2006 at 09:20 PM.

Not since I got stuck behind 2 different Subarus going 45 in a 55 coming back from MOT 2004. No vanity plates on either on (though if 'I can't drive 55' is available, it would be a good one!) That's when I realized that 45 really IS the VT state speed limit, and that no matter how much farther 90 looks than 7, it really is faster. ![]()

I think you're right, John. I think I've seen more tap in bowlers than top hats. I have a friend who is a dancer who was telling me she had seen tap dancers once and added tap to her already incredibly varied dance repertoire, and though I can't remember the names now, I'm sure she was referring to the Nicholas Brothers. ![]()
