And, while we are only talking numbers here, I can tell you that the low-end torque increase can definitely be felt!

Well, Jay's house (2nd day's location) didn't have a dyno, but the seat of the pant's dyno (which is probably more than 13% off ) said it was a good mod. Randy's HDI intake mod was no louder than the ebay BMP unit I did have on there when cruising, but when you step on it that, coupled with the supercharger pulley makes for a very nice soundtrack to the shove in the back!
Now I need to call Lee on Monday to see about the MTH to really get the best out of all this..!

I just applied a coating of Michelin Brake Dust Repellant to my rims this afternoon. Ask me again in a couple weeks and I'll let you know if it made any difference.

I put cheap polymer car wax on mine. I wouldn't say it repels brake dust, but it makes cleaning them easier.

Congrats on the new MINI ricardo! Glad to see you went with the matching white wheels. Get youself some P21S and you'll be fine keeping that way. Since you got the JCW brakes I don't think you can just change to an aftermarket pad to fix the problem at the source.

Oh yeah and I would like to get my shopping cart injury repaired. Where's a good body shop. Not too far away?

Test that I've seen on the repellent products showed they barely repelled anything.
Changing out stock pads to aftermarket ones (cost me only $75 for a full set of mintex pads) works amazingly well. They go weeks instead of days.

As for a body shop, I hope everyone would agree to recommend Sublime.

I'm using PLEXUS plastic cleaner. It's what the Airforce uses to keep the B1B windshield clean. It's very anti static so cleaning off the brake dust seems pretty easy. I've still got the OEM brake pads, so until their worn, I use Plexus.

Does that really have the same effect on metal though..? I suppose the powder coat on the wheels makes them non-conductive. It's probably just as much that it gets them clean, smooth and shiny as any anti-static properties though.

After I got my car detailed at MOP the other week (yes, I paid to be lazy) the wheels look awful now. I don't know if it's a combination of tire shine and brake dust or just that they didn't wax the wheels like I would have done, but the brake dust is really sticking and it's been less than two weeks since it was looking like new.

Called the insurance company today about the shopping cart incident. Thanks to mini2 I was able to tell them the exact date it happened.

They asked a pecuilar question, "Do you have any aftermarket parts?" I immediately thought of Annette. Do they thing I installed the dasterdly shopping cart magnet? I quickly replied, "No, just OEM stuff". Made me think though.

Called Sublime. They seem really nice. E-mailed some pics and waiting to hear back. Also asked about the trim paint. The black always seemed out of place on the green.
