Hey all,

I am changing my runflats to non runflats on Friday. One of my runflats is just about bald and I failed my MA inspection. Of course I waited to the last minute to get 13 months out of my sticker and had to get a big red R on my sticker.

Enough of my whining. To the point. Two of the runflats were used on the rear for 25,000. Could have some life left in them if any one locally is interested.

Let me know by Friday morning so I don't send the two good tires to the tire inferno.

I saw you guys were talking about gas choices. I Just had my THIRD set of fuel injectors replaced and I always use top grade gas. My SES light keeps coming on. Hopefully this is third time lucky!!

Just went to a new pub/restaurant off of 395 CT. They have real Bangers and mash!! Exit 97 I think Route 44 at the Kings Inn. Speckled Hen on tap. Just some FYI

Happy Spring and Email me if you want a couple of runflats for personal use.

I run quality Hess gas (91 octane and a non-Saudi product) and never have had any starting problems. The Sunoco on Highland St (Rt 9) in Worcester near WPI sells 106 octane racing fuel if you want to see if that clears up your starting problems

I've recently switched to Shell (to get my $25 iTunes card ) and based on what Gary said I've gone for 93 (VPower) rather than 89... I've had the cold start issue and it runs 'lumpy' when cold. I'll try Josh's car-friendly starting method and see if that works and I'll try mixing 89 and 93 to get homebrew 91... Why do our cars 'need' 91 when the gas stations here are all set up for 87, 89, 93..? Who's wrong..? Why is 91 not common at the pumps and yet it seems to be the European standard..?
Personally I'm less inclined to blame the software writers for the ECU and more inclined to blame the oil companies and the states who can't agree on one fuel to rule them all

Gav, there are a few with 91. It's just that in most cases it means they must have an additional tank, so many stations can't do it. My favorite gas station, which was one of the cheapest yet still self serve (an unheard of combination around me--I hate full serve but eat it to save the coin) also had 91. One week after buying my mini, it closed and was replaced with a dunin donuts (that other liquid that is way more expensive than gas). It's very rare I get to put in 91 now.

Did everyone notice the gas prices jump overnight? remember bostongasprices.com if you're filling up...

Hey Ricardo!

What was the name of the folks who take door dings out of cars? I got another one last night / this morning in my apartment parking lot. I hate people! I washed the car yesterday, parked it in the safest spot I could find, and went out to it this morning to see a door ding that wasn't there yesterday. And of course there was no car parked on that side of mine to try and determine who the guilty party was.

Though I am not the famed Ricardo, I can suggest Dent Wizard. Had a nasty rear quarter 3/4 inch ding repaired by them and you can't even find a trace of it. Cost $99 plus MA tax.

Don't think there are any Vermont Dent Wizard locations, but Concord Motorsports (our MOT friends and generous sponsors) are a Dent Wizard location. They can be reached at 603-798-3700 or for more locations call 800-DENT-WIZ or go to dentwizard.com.

There's some local operation up here that does these things... dent wizard, dent doctor, ding king, who knows? I've gone through a local body shop that just calls in these guys... I remember telling Ricardo about it and he cut out the middle man and called the people that do the work directly. But my searching couldn't come up with the right name. I was hoping Ricardo would remember. I think this will be like the fourth time I will have had door dings taken out of the car. Are my verb tenses right on that last sentence?
