NoNo, I visited my cousins in Seatlle back in 1975. I loved the city! They took me out to the country and up Mt. Ranier so that I could taste and see the snowfall! I hadn't seen snow in 2 years since I was living in CA that time. My Icelandic cousins were great!

Opinions are always welcomed at OSMC, whether they agree or disagree, but there is a wrong way and a right way to voice your opinions. Some of the things stated were way out of line and that is what offended the members of OSMC. As a member of OSMC and numerous other mini clubs in the NE area, I think we would all agree we are entitled to our opinions and we agree to disagree.

and I made a very huge point to apologize the people affected by such "out of line" statements.. I took responsibility and I "manned up" for being a jerk.. so, one strike.. you're outta there!.. keep that in mind..

I was the only one who realized it was getting way out of control and had the testicular fortitude to admit my part in it. Kinda sad, really..

anyways, it's a non-issue now.. I made my case, I don't want back, just to be heard. again, thanks for all the support I received via email, it meant a lot, I hope you all don't make the mistakes I made, because owning up to them afterwards does zero good..

A) I never bashed anyone, just teased.. there are others on that site who take things way further

B) if you "have to much respect for the MINI community" why am I the one who gto kicked off that site for alerting MoT committee members to the shenanigans planned for this year's event?.. I was the only one who acted in a responsible manner and thought to alert the people involved who have been busting their asses on this for the last year.. that's respect..

C) anyone I've ever gotten into it with knows I was either kidding or they touched a nerve and I sent them a very heart-felt apology.. even Annette would attest to that fact..

D) as far as your other commenst about me posting rude etc posts.. you really need to check that site.. you'll see I was not even close to the worst of the offenders.. and if it was soooo bad, how come it was allowed to go on for so long as you've stated? I was never asked to "tone it down" and was never pulled aside or warned..

BTW: If you want to make accusations and libelous comments, back them up.. being banned is one thing and I'll deal with it, public bashing on a completely different sight is rediculous.. People thought I was getting personal in there because I thought I had my facts straight on something (even though I made the effort to say "if I'm wrong let me know and I'll edit it", which I did).. personal would be to bring up damage to my car received recently, but I refuse to go there, whether I'm friends with that person anymore or not, I won't go there.. Anyway it sounds like people have never really met you, I think that makes a big difference with online discussion, if you know the real person you're talking/arguing with, and therefore understand what they really mean instead of taking it the wrong way. We know who you are and are happy to put up with your occasional "cultured opinion" outbursts.

Well I had the most fan-TASTIC day! For once, the jet-lag worked in my favor, and I was up bright and early. This allowed me to get a nice start on my drive. First stop: Mt. St. Helens. Man, what an awesome and humbling experience to be standing in front of that thing, just knowing what it's capable of. When I finished up there, I started driving back and decided I'd swing over to Mt. Rainier. I was very pleased to find out that they're open 24 hours! Thats gotta be some sight, seeing that massive peak bathed in moonlight. It was a pretty strange feeling to have a t-shirt on (and I wish I had brought shorts with me - it was 80 today!) and be walking in snow. Just got in an hour ago, and it was still light out! The sun seems to take a long time to set up here. Filled up my 1GB memory card, so I'll have my hands full sorting through those and uploading them. If I do nothing for the rest of this trip I'll be happy. What an awesome day. Now, I need to get to bed. I actually have to do some work tomorrow
