Boot not opening on my 03 MCS

Is ayone else having a problem opening the boot. It is random but when it happens to me it doesn't sound like the boot unlatches. I had the latch replaced at the dealer but it still seems to be happening.

I don't know if you know it or not But...

there is a cable you can pull under your back seat to open the door.
I too had intermittent problems.
they replaced the solenoid on mine
Have not had a problem since

Yeah I tried the cable but it was not opening it for me... I pulled it lightly then hard... I even had someone try to open the boot while I pulled the release.

I had the switch replaced today...

Mine does it some times after a heavy down pour of a car wash, it seems that water gets in the switch and until it dries out no go.

I went to dealer yesterday and they fixed it!!!

First they thought it was the body modulator... bu that wasn't it.

Then they thought it was the latch... nope...

It was the wiring behind the handle... there are three wires behind the handle and one of them was bad... so the computer was not getting the full signal.

They also fixed the manual unlock for the boot which was brokenat the latch.

Happy now
