I was doing some reasearch on the web about making some custom shirts through cafe press. The local MINI club has them made for them and was wondering to save a lot of headache maybve would make sense to have them available on the web for people to order and then maybe order a couple more to have available at the event. They don't seem to be too hard to customize and ordering looks pretty easy. Just a thought!

Can cafepress do front and back of Tshirt?
After chatting with Steve yesterday about Tshirts, it sounds like the company that did them tries so hard to fix their errors that they probably deserve to keep us! Yes, it would be better if they did not mess up - maybe that will happen next year

Also, re: ordering shirts online -- if you don't attend, no shirt!

They do the front and back of these:

I agree with Steve. Stuff happens and the benchmark is always how responsive is the company to correcting their errors. They seem to be very sincere. I say stay.

Also RFINPRC is right on. No show. No shirt! You gotta earn your stripes.

That being said I'm certain your efforts and research for alternatives are much appreciated.

At a recent top secret meeting (well, not so secret, it was at a MOP lunch while waiting for Steve's new windshield) a group of key yellowshirts (well, not all yellowshirts, pezboy was there) carefully reviewed the alternatives (well, we talked about it for 2.8 minutes) and concluded that June 25, 2005, it THE DATE for MOT'05 (or should that be MOT III?).

This is now (sort of) set in stone. But let's hear your comments...

MOP may be too far to go for a lunch, but MOT (05) (III) on 6/25 sounds like a plan! I'd only lobby for a repeat of the Acadia leg....the Maine coast was incredible !

Wasn't really looking into the alternative because of any errors, simply something to make the operation go a little smoother. I do agree no attendance no shirt but the cafepress could be secret and once a reg form is sent then the actual URL could be revealed, let me tell you, it is not the easiest to find specific groups if you don't know what you're looking for. I know that the DC METRO MINIs uses cafepress for all their T-Shirt needs, I can't find them, I had the URL link to get straight to them but lost it. Cafepress can make anything, like thongs.

Again, as I stated I was not looking for a replacement on the current silk screener, just a way that the yellow shirts can keep sanity with everything else that is going on. The first year didn't seem to have as many people frazzeled as the second year. I know that much more was added to the second year and we had a population explosion, but if everyone is content on the way the t-shirts work then we should continue to use the silk screener that we have been using.

I like the sound of MOT III, has got a nice ring to it...and the 25th sounds good too. As we avoid bikeweek and the road race.

Or we could name it MOT III - The 15% Incident...

Just a thought...

Booking my vacation now. Ooops I'm not working. I'll make that date a condition of any employee/employer agreement. Anyone have a long range weather forecast?

The printer is moving from Worcester, MA to Orlando, FL.
MA state taxes have taken there toll. They can't afford to do business in MA because of the tax situation and are going to a friendlier business state.
Dan McD. will be working on getting a t-shirt quote for us by the fall.

I would like to confirm June 25th with the Auto Road this coming week.
Still need a few more pieces to come together before sending out the final MOT '04 email that will include registration information for MOT '05.

Word of warning with Cafe Press - we were using them with PhillyMINI - but orders were being delayed and we found them to be very unreliable. Just my 2 cents - but burn me once - shame on you; burn me twice - shame on me (most of philly's MOT stuff that they ordered didn't get there until after MOT - with 3 weeks advance ordering).

Steve - let me know what you need from me so that I can hold the list....
Thanks!
