I talked with Jesse at the auto road Sunday and he seemed firm that the 25th is the date for us. But we will need to get written confirmation (during the NEXT SIX MONTHS) before we start registration for next year. Ease up everyone. It is only June 21st 2004 today

Speaking of film at 11:00... Did the TV News folks air their MOT 2004 piece yet? If not, will there be any dearth of folks recording and posting a copy? Theo "The problem with using quotes from internet sources is that you can never be sure they are authentic." - Abraham Lincoln

Montreal would be much closer then Quebec City to Mount Washington. But, the drive from the US/Canada border to Montreal is horribly boring, and driving around Montreal is horribly congested. And there are very few of us who wouldn't think Montreal is "out of the way" as it is north of the Mount Washington area. I think there are only a few of us who actually drove south to Mount Washington. ![]() But, as one closer to Canada than most of the others in the group, I'd be happy to gather some details if people wanted me to. And, someone mentioned upstate New York (Lake Placid) as another alternate start location. Remember, there's a big lake between New York and Vermont... it's either a long ferry ride or a lot of driving to get from one side to the other. Then there's the pesky mountains of Vermont to get around, too. As the Maine contingent can probably tell you, east/west travel in northern New England is difficult.

OMG...! 3 pages and 40+ posts already...! Slow down guys..! Montreal is cool, but I wouldn't want to start there for MOT..! There's also the issue of when the Canadian Grand Prix would be. Events like that haven't been planned yet - maybe we should slow down a little. I think this thread was started as a joke! ![]() Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else.

How about Mt Greylock in the Berkshires? Easy to get to from NY, MA and CT and probably a good drive over backroads through MA, VT and NH. I also like the idea of Cape Cod, but could be a stretch for those coming from outside of NE and the drive up the interstate would be boring (but maybe not with 200 MINIs in convoy).
