Ahh Craig... I meant to email you and let you know... look for a new thread (coming as soon as I type it!) regarding a separate event that will show the wilds of Bar Harbor and conclude with a spirited trip from BH to Loon Mt where - surprise! - we'll meet up with the MOT crew. I'm sure we'll be chatting soon... Heather Hmmmmm

"There I was, in Keene, shopping at Colony Mill near the Rynborn. I come out to my car and it is COVERED TIGHTLY in emergency caution tape, foul words etched onto my rear window, and, like Prof. Moriarity would do, a Cod calling card under the wiper blade. I drew my Walther and did a quick scan. Nothing. But then, I heard this crazed cackling from the other end of the parking lot. All of a sudden, approaching me at speed was this heavily modified red MINI with Christmas bells on the grill. What could I do but surrender to these underwhelming odds (+ he bought)?" You mean that doesn't happen every time you return to your car? I thought I was special!!! The best would be if he did to to an unsuspecting newbie and scared the carp (or is it cod?) out of them!!! hehe (yes - I'm one of those unsuspecting sheep being led off of a cliff - yeah!) h Hmmmmm

Oh - speaking of Mt Washington (cough), did anyone see the History Channel last night - show on the two kids who went climbing to the summit in winter, got lost, and one of the rescue party died while searching for them... One guy lost a foot and some fingers, the other lost both of his legs below the knee... He still climbs though! Was a truly interesting show - and as I'm watching the footage of people sliding around outside the observatory (add ice to those winds of last year) and I turned to Matt and said we should go now!!! Just an interesting little tid-bit... bye! Hmmmmm

| Every word of it true. Except that I put four Cape Cod MINI business cards under his wipers, not one. I had a 9:30 appt. in West Newton and figured I would blow the day off and go motoring. Ended up on route 119 and then 12 and we all know where that leads. Called Mo and she said the Old Man was shopping in Keene. I drove through every parking lot in Keene and finally found the S Car that Goes Slow in the Colony Mill parking lot.........suspiciously close to the Rynborn I might add. As fortune would have it I had about a 100 foot roll of yellow and black "CAUTION" tape with me and commenced to do a most impressive wrap of the S Car That Goes Slow. I finished, got in my car and see the Old One exiting the building. I sped away, hid at the end of a row of cars and cackled madly as the Old One stood there catching flies with open mouth. | Left the camera at home. Didn't know the spirit would move me to drive north. A guy in a POS Chevy Cavalier with psoriasis (the car, not the guy) said I should have put the warning tape all over his car because it was such a POS Missing my buddies Dan, Ed, and Diane but glad I have three angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |

For a bit there, I thought you were talking about a different Mount Washington tragedy, and I would have been able to say that I have skied with one of the people involved. But, that's a different story. The first story on this page has a pretty neutral account of the happenings: http://www.goski.com/experts/1rice2a.htm This one is a fluff piece that blames no-one: http://www.mndaily.com/daily/gopher-...9/AP11.STO.txt This one has a more accusatory tone: http://mailman.hack.net/pipermail/at...er/022779.html It's got to be rough to be the survivor, no matter who was to blame (if anyone). Especially to find out that your name has become a verb, kinda like Baker. Jeremy Haas is a hell of a skier, I'll say that. Also, in other brushes with winter mountaineering infamy, I've also snowboarded with the survivor from this accident in Alaska: http://www.transworldsnowboarding.co...242126,00.html

Does that new psoriasis drug I keep seeing ads for on TV work for cars too? Put a vial of it in the glovebox and the rust patches go away? You know, my brother has psoriasis, and those ads crack him up. As usual, the possible side effects sound worse than the disease. He's currently unwilling to risk lymphoma and serious infections due to a compromised immune system just to get rid of red skin around his scalp and elbows... -Ricardo (What does this have to do with MINIs On Top? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. What can I say, I'm just going with the flow.)
