A quick check of the registration form shows that there are now 3 MINI classes: class 2 - Austin & Morris Mini - 1959 - 1969 class 3 - Austin & Morris & Rover Mini - 1970's to 2000 class 4 - MINI Cooper - 2001 to Present I believe in the past classes 3 and 4 were lumped together, putting our new MINIs in the same class as the more recent lowercase minis. Looks like things changed for the better. Will I be there? Maybe / probably. I'll at least wander by to see the big Healys and Morgans (I'm lusting after them).

That sounds like fun, will have to push the boss to get the time off. Haven't to Vermont in ages, and it would be fun to head up there for a weekend. Winslow 2008 R56 Cooper - Pepper White with Black roof -- "Oliver"

Jason, Where did you discover that class stuff. I asked Faith (NEMO) long ago if they had split the MINIs from the Minis - no result. I emailed them a week ago to see if they had a MINI class - no response. If the new MINIs are now recognized as different, I think I will go again ... And for those new to the event, you can read about last years event here: ![]() And here is pics of Jasons drive:

I downloaded the pdf file on the registration page, that's where the breakdown of the classes can be found. As my MINI becomes less and less "perfect" - a few too many trips to the body shop and other problems - I'm feeling less and less like my MINI belongs on the field. It does look damn good for a car with over 50,000 miles and a collision with a moose, but not show quality. Most recently, I noticed one of the bolts on one of my driving lights was missing. Of course, it's hard to find metric hardware around here, and the only bolt of the right size was silver, not black like the original. So, now I have a silver sore thumb on the front of the car. Anyway, I will probably be around as a spectator. I could be convinced to map out a drive, too, if people want me to. Don't worry, I still love my MINI. It may not look like a show car anymore, but it still goes around corners really well

I had a great time at the British Invasion last year. But, unfortunately I made plans to go to Bimini this year and its the same week. Anyone scanning these Posts and need an opinion about going. GO, I enjoyed the whole event immensely last year. Don't worry about the registration fee you'll get half your money back in free stuff. Be sure to bring a chair and cooler to hang out. If your a British car nut, this is truly one of the best shows on the whole East Coast. Tony

Sorry we didn't meet Tony. I might go to the British Invasion this year. I'm not going to Bimini, although as we have two MINIs I really should go to BI-MINI shouldn't I..!? ![]() Where did you stay Ian..? I suppose for such a big event I should be making reservations now if I plan to go. I can't think that far ahead..! ![]() Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else.

Margaret & I stayed at the Old England Inne last year - a semi-official hotel for British Invasion, like the Town & Country for MOT? Very fancy and very expensive suite last year - with I think three bedrooms and a spectacular bathroom. Margaret is currently not interested in another MINI event so if I go I will likely scale down to somewhere less fancy (not much point in a romantic weekend for 1 is there!) http://www.englandinn.com/accommodat...nne_rooms.html On that subject, how about staying with the Town & Country? ![]() http://www.townandcountrystowe.com/ If we can get a few MINIs together, maybe we can pick an official MINI-Stowe hotel?

Gavin and Ian, I am very disappointed in you two. Or should I say, very disappointed in Jane and Margaret. I haven't really chatted with Margaret but I have talked to Jane, moreso at last years MOT than this years...but anyway, they are still pretty cool. What's their deal? What more important things do they have to do than hang out with their MINI buddies? Gav, if you don't get her to go, I will print a copy of that photo you emailed me, subject line "Don't show this to Jane..." and leave it on your doorstep!! Come on ladies, don't be lame. Maybe they get tired of being tossed around in the front seat like Susan does. "Just keep heading into the wind. Don't let anything blow you over." Ed Smith / MaxaMini 6/14/05

Jared, I suspect that neither Susan nor you will be at British Invasion - since you are rumoured to be "eimgrating" to the deep south!? Anyway, Margaret says she will go to Stowe, just not during British Invasion or any other MINI event ... but I am allowed to go! I think what we need is a plan ![]() One of Jasons inspiring drives. A decision on participation on the show field or not. A targetted hotel and a head count. Stuff like that ...
