Just a thought............the first restaurant where I sent a bottle of wine back for being corked was...The Abbey in Atlanta. 1970, I think.

Yeah check back a page or two for the map. Also pack your warm clothing, as I am going John.

John. here is another link (I need all the help I can get with my page counters. I like to make it easy)
link to HUDSON BAY trip

If you click on the map, the page opens in a larger window. Also, click on the photo map, it is very neat

I haven't had a chance yet to contact the towns in Canada, been busy with some fall out from Germany last week. Good news is I have been reunited with my luggage, British Airways finally got it to me.

Next week I will start to get information processed and pass it along.

YES!

I'm in!

Hudson Bay one weekend and San Diego the next! Life will be good!

Any other NH or ME drivers? Albany's not on the way for us but VT Rt 9 more than makes up for the trouble with all its twisties and hill climbs.

Play On!

Return to Hudson Bay 2010 (and 2011) . . . not

On a whim, looked up studded tire laws for Canada and, if you gottem, I think you are OK unless you go into Ontario where, I believe, they are banned.

Resisting resisting resisting....phew, that was close!

Yes, a good tire store will insert studs into any tire with holes. You should be able to choose stud length as well. For Rockland/Dutchess, you do not need longest studs unless you get an awful lot of icing. Ask the guys at the store.

If it is that bad out, I don't go out...

I am just going to get a set of new winter tires, non-runflats. I will also get a spare tire as well, just in case.

John, I knew patience was supposed to be a virtue, but restraint??

Anyway, back to tires...does anyone know a trusting soul near the start of this run who might be interested in renting a set of snows on rims for that weekend? I really don't care if they have holes...

I was thinking about the wire chains, with my snows. I imagine however that snows or not these would probably react about the same performance wise

However, I have read that speed should be kept to 30 mph or so. This is a 600 km road and at that speed it's a 10 hr trip of just driving.

Are snows and/or studded snows any faster?
