And, officially, took the snows off today and put on the new Goodyear G-Force KDW. They look great. Even the UPS man who brought them Friday said today he liked them. (Funny, he'd never heard of TireRack. Must be new on my route or something)

David,

Please let us know what you think of the KDWs. I need to buy new tires SOON.

First impressions are these aren't too shabby. I had an oversized cup in the cup holder today, so I had to be a tad careful. But, it seems to ride very well. Very crisp in quick, pothole avoidance maneuvers.

However, I THINK these might be a tad loud from all the rubber. Not sure yet. It;s not unbearable, but there does seem to be a drone. It seems more noticable with the top down.

If you can give me to the weekend, I will give you a better idea.

I was replacing my main router last night, which took ArcticMini.com down for about an hour. It should have only been down for a few minutes, but it appears some critical functions don't work, so I had to revert to my old one. I'll warn on the board here before my next attempt. If that fails then my new (too cheap) router is getting the baseball bat adjustment.

So, feel free to post the piece to ArcticMINI.com for posterity, or let me know about the edits from the previous version at: http://www.arcticmini.com/personal/n...t/thoughts.htm

Do you have a link to the survey? I couldn't find it.

Just my style to pick the 2 minutes out of eternity when it isn't up & running!

"Baseball bat adjustment" !

By the way, I think I figured out why my link to my pictures/resume on the Owners' Lounge through the back door wasn't working .... here's a test run to try again, Ross:

http://on.miniusa.com/resume.jsp?user=100003109

If it asks for a password/codeword, e-mail me & I'll give it to you ....

(Just tested it myself, and it worked, and didn't ask for password. But, let me know.... It worked for me the last time I tried this, too.)

Chisasibi Photo - Young Man

Anyone have photo(s) of the young man, son of an HQ engineer, who sat in my MINI and maybe others at the community center in Chisasibi?

If so, please email them to me and I'll forward them to his Dad.

Thanks!

I have one -- it's on your CD. (Don't tell me you haven't received that yet!? Arrrrghghgh! I'll e-mail it, too, just in case.)

It works for me now, and I've added the link to your personal page on ArcticMINI.

Everything came through all right. Text and photos. Thank you very much.

Five minutes ago, I went to my mail box and there was the monthly paper with a picture of you guys on the front page. A certain Pete Basiliere was showing off in Bermudas as everyone else looked like they were posing for Northern Stores' winter catalog. Very funny.

At some point this evening I will be attempting to replace my router for a 2nd time, hopefully more successfully than the last. So, if you visit ArcticMINI tonight and it's not there, just wait a few minutes and try again.

Hey DuctTape! Check out what they say under the "bonnet stripe" comparison -- do we have a "ducttape dis" there?

All I can say is my duct tape comes in more colors than their bonnet stripes, including fluorescent.

And now, off to the garage to try out that idea. Hmmm, a real counterfeit...
