That is a very nice lens. I agree that with the newer ultra wides like those that go down to 10 mm have made things a lot better than previous, but I'd like to be able to use the lenses on the Canon film cameras I still have and occasionally use (but less and less frequently). I'll probably get tired of waiting for a full frame that I can justify pricewise and get something like yours.

Anyone else besides me hoping this is a conversation between 2 individuals, and not one with 2 pseudonyms and too much time on their hands?

Just watch it little sister! Rest assured there are no doppelgangers on MINI2. This latent imposter, attempting to bask in the reflected glory that is Cyclotouriste, is merely another traveler on the road of life - but one that has taken a few wrong turns along the path. I do appreciate his attempts at congenial companionship, but he/she will have to prove himself as a worthy companion first. Perhaps arranging a big fest with Italian dishes might serve to show his worthiness?

Multiple pseudonyms? Or multiple personalities?
Either way, they should be dragged outta here in a straitjacket.

Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else.

The triangle thingy is because your picture is "too big" and has been resized.

I lied. I'm back in here. What's up with this stuff (see below) that is evident only when I'm posting in certain threads?:

These things don't concern you, oh great and salted one.

Trackbacks are like little postcards sent from one web site to another saying "hey, we mentioned this page on your site here". If Mike's site supported the feature (which it doesn't) you'd see a link back to the thread from those pages.

Wow, the map feature on Flickr's pretty impressive. There are nearly 63,000 photos geolocated near this one of mine!

Smugmug's been teamed up with Google maps for at least a year now. While it's fun to tag my photos, on trips like the Tour du Nord, I usually have no clue where I am. Still, it's cool to see the world slowly getting filled in
