Yeah the Lisa was nice. When the mac's arrived I had a copy of Lisa Works (I think that was the name) to simulate the old gal.

HD cable comes tomorrow as do long cables to connect it to the AV stack that's hidden away.
Bought a new DVD player that upscales in the digital domain and puts out an HDMI signal... Now I just need to find the $$$ for a 33ft HDMI cable...!

It was worth a try, anyway.

In a rare PC defending moment, allow me to say that Sony's industrial design is not that bad. Certainly not up to Apples, but it's pretty darn good for a mass-market PC. I've got one of the Z-series laptops, which I don't think they make any more. It's not offensive.

A little schizophrenic on where they decided to place things like ports, but I'm not ashamed to carry it around. The only negative about it is that they used cheap paint / plastic for the button below the trackpad. It started to flake, looking like it was a protective cover starting to come off. So, I tried to pull the protective cover off, but, there was no protective plastic, it was paint. So, now, the button is mostly white instead of silver.

Sony's new, super thin laptop looks great in pictures. But, they pulled a ton of stuff out of it to make it that thin.
