I checked out the Golden snowball site yesterday, and Syracuse is #1 & Binghamton is #2. I don't mind not winning that medal! 36 now with a high of 44. Looks like the warmest it got yesterday was 24, so 36 is a heat wave!

Looks like a heat wave for the weekend. Upper 30's today and tomorrow. Back to the 20's and teens for the highs starting Monday.

We have a wind advisory too. 37° currently with sun and mid 40's later. I don't think our medical helicopters will be flying either.

20° with a high of 25°. Thankfully the wind has died down here too. Negative numbers at night starting tomorrow. My brother just sent me some "SmartWool" underwear. I'll be putting to the test.

I think there's a joke somewhere in 'Smartwool underwear', but I think I'll leave that for Baker! 8 degrees with a high of 14, and the same for tomorrow. I don't have to go anywhere today if I don't want to!

I only went out to take out the garbage yesterday. 8 degrees now, with a high of 13, and 2-4: of $%@# today & tonight. Ah, January!

7° currently with 13° for the max today. Wind chill is -8 thanks to 26 mph gusts. No wonder I didn't want to get out from under the down comforter this morning.

Laurie's sister-in-law was transferred to Calvary Hospital yesterday. Renowned for their approach to and implementation of hospice care. Laurie says everyone there is simply amazing.

It's great that she's being taken care of by people who care. 8 degrees with a high of 13, with 'light $%@#'. An hour ago it was 'freezing fog/mist', which sounds like something from a horror movie!

Prognosis was 24-48 hours. She's still hanging in there.

Hugs to Laurie from me. It's 10 now with 'light $%@#', with a high of 20. I'm heading to RDU (NC) this morning for a cardiology conference. It'll be a little warmer there, but they're expecting the dreaded 'wintry mix'. I don't mind that in upstate NY in a Mini with snow tires, but in North Carolina with a rental car, it's going to be interesting. As long as I get to the hotel in one piece, I don't have to go out again until the weather improves. I'll probably get to the Duke-Boston College womens' basketball game, if all goes well.

WIntry mix here yesterday in NC, and the frozen rain made a mess of things . My plane was delayed, so I didn' t get here until everyone went home. 27 here, 3 in Roch.
