Basically the schedule (rough - very rough!!!) is as follows:
Thurs PM - Group dinner at local restaurant to be named at a future date.
Fri AM - Spirited run through Acadia National Forrest and surrounding areas
Fri Lunch - at a restaurant to be named at a future date
Fri PM - your choice of more motoring or shopping in BH (lots of fun shops!)
Get together, fun hanging out picnic style - could be a beer fest - ya never know!
Dinner - either a group dinner or order in pizza or people do their own things - we're easy!
Sat am - Race to the top of Cadillac Mnt to watch the sun rise (or at least watch it get lighter if it's cloudy!)
Once the sun has come up - you're free to do whatever you wish. Many of us will be heading to New Hampshire and Loon Mnt to meet up with another event (you know which one I mean!!!). This will be a spirited drive - multiple groups - and no - you don't have to come with us (but why wouldn't you!!!)
The Wonderview can't wait to host us again in 2005. They are now accepting reservations for our group. Visit their website: www.wonderviewinn.com to see room rates and make a reservation via phone or email. Room rates range from $64 to $160 depending on the building and view. We're booking under Spring rates, and did not pick a particular section so that you can pick the view and rate you like!
When you call - mention you are with the Mini Group, and if you book BEFORE March 1 and book for at least 2 nights (i.e. Thurs & Fri) you will receive $10 off each night. If you only book for one night (i.e. Friday) you will not receive this discount. Once you've made your reservation, you will be asked to send them a deposit of about 1/2 your total registration cost. The address & phone are on their website.
If you're interested in joining the group, please let us know - send an email to heather@padgettmarketing.com and I'll add you to the list. We're also looking for locals to help in the planning process - we appreciate any and all help you can provide!
Thanks!
Heather, Aaron, Brad & Crew

Count me and my nephew in for this. I would be willing to assist in either the morning or afternoon drive. I mapped out a drive North of BH last year that was about 200 miles and looked to be a lotta fun, ended up that I could not attend MOT '04. I will not miss either the BH or MOT '05.
I will keep my one good eye open for hotel announcements.......

Can't do BH this year but I might suggest to newbies that some rooms at the Wonderview have more terrific vistas than others. The management is superb and they listed about 30 of the 'scenic' rooms for me last June. If I find the paper, I'll post it here & folks can request certain rooms.
Someone has to promise me that the chipmunks will be fed since I cannot be there
This event last year was my first encounter with the bunch of nuts we call Mini Owners.
A small inimate group, small enough to interact with everyone out of the car and small enough to stick together when bombing around the island.
The bar harbor run got myself and my son hooked.

As for the Autoroad, ask Mr Toes... I don't think he was actually ON the road though.
