I reach for the camera and he removes his helmet for a photo op as he introduces himself as "Martin". Only then does he tell me he's from MINI of Peabody.

Yeah? And your point?

Great pic / panorama Josh ... the "original" looks detailed enough to be able to count them all actually!

Pick the right person? I tried to get everyone.
Last year late friday night I saw a PepperWhite roll up tp T&C. I went over and introduced myself, put a duck on his antennae, offered to bring him up to the bar and buy him a drink and introduce him so he wouldn't be alone.

He turns and says "Hi, I'm Gerry Matthews, up from New Jersey and MININ/USA. Wow you guys really make a guy feel welcome." I think he appreciated the genuine welcoming spirit of MINIs On Top.

Yeah, I can pick 'em.

Hello All!

We had a blast at MOT this year! Even with the weather it was better than expected.

A big thanks to Pipe for making it easy to find our way around. Also I was really happy to meet everyone we met and put faces to the screennames.

To the event organizers, you guys rock. All the hard work you did was certainly appreciated.

For my 80 some pics from MOT please go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/sooperc...s/480683/show/

(Yeah I know my car is in a lot of them, but Ariana took the pictures. I love my MCS, but i'm not that conceded)

By the way, we left at 5am Sunday and saw a huge Moose 10 - 15 minutes into the trip. It was wild! (no pun intended)

Many thanks to those who worked so hard so the rest of us could have a great day!

Highlights for us were

inexplicably finishing third in the scavenger hunt (after dropping at least
25 minutes on the very first first clue!)

challenging muddy section on the climb

observatory tour and climb up the instrument tower

Hi Josh, it was nice meeting you and sharing the table with you and your s/o. By my rough count(and there were a buch that were hidden in the trees) I got to 158, but I'm sure there were more.Did the people at the gate taking tickets get an accurate count of the cars that actually went up? My Wife and I ate at Redbones last night, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Memphis ribs ......... Jock

There are a few more to come - mainly panoramas that I need to stitch together.

Just some notes about the Herb Chambers MINI lease:

- Again, many thanks to all for this.
- Carrie Taylor of MINI of Boston has been outstanding in working through the details with us.
- The lease terms are excellent: no out-of-pocket expenses for the contract!
- My son Colin will be driving the MINI, much to Carol's dismay.
- The date of the contract signing has not been set yet, but I will let folks know in case some MOT organizers, the KDC and other interested parties wish to be present.

Again, thanks to all who made this MOT very special for the Matthias family!

Theo, Carol and Colin
