At that hour you should be able to make great time. I made it from the Northampton area to Alexandria, VA in just over 7 hrs one time. I left on a Saturday morning at about 5 am and was at my sister's house just after noon. Blew right through NYC with very little traffic on 95.

Depending on where you are in MD, your time may be much less. Sounds like you'll hit NYC at about 6:30 - 7:00 am Friday morning; traffic shouldn't be too bad.

FYI --

I will have four Herb Chambers MINI Lease Raffle tickets with me for purchase at Yankee Candle and Area 51. Get a jump on the crowd and purchase BEFORE arriving at MOT.

Of the 10 the Codfather sent me, I have only sold six. What's worse, Bishop Barnatt and Father Secco have rounded-up the ANGRY NUN SQUAD to brutally flog me with knotted ropes and metal rulers if I reach the T&C without selling the last four.

I have ticket numbers 100 (Jeff Baker take notice!) through 103. I will throw in a free MINI ball cap for the first two YC or Area 51 folks who commit (online, on this thread) to purchasing tickets from me and show up with their $50 checks at either of these two locations.

Theo,

You can hold one of those tix for me at Area 51. I was planning to hook up with Steve but will gladly take one off your hands.

Oh, and please don't give me #100...I'm too new to be torquing off the vets...

(PM me if you'd like a check in advance)

Dear God! Why did I click through to see those nuns? What a shock to my system. I predict nightmares tonight of Sister Thomas Katherine and Sister Louis Bertrand. Both those penguins scarred my soul and knuckles mercilessly.

Way to go, Theo. Pump those tickets, rah rah rah.

Thanks, Chip! Ticket #101 is yours. I can pick-up the check at Area 51.

I have an orange or a red MINI cap for you. These are the nice twill caps with the black and silver MINI wings logo on the front and an adjustable brass buckle on the back. Part #s 99-00-0-002-702 and 99-00-0-002-701. Let me know what color...

You can tuck one of them orange caps away for me. (we'll leave the red ones for Ian. He should be good for a couple tix, right?) (no pressure... )

Pepperwhite and black. Are those MINI logos on the habits? 12 year survivor of Our Lady of Sorrows. What a name to lay on a kid. Remember the secret of Fatima. A vision revealed a secret to some children which was to be shared on some far and distant date. What happened to that? I suppose it could have been the identity of Deep Throat.

Actually I already have a ticket - #42 of course.

But given the temptation of a red cap (assuming it is big enough to fit my head), then why not - I can take the Bakered #100 ticket from you, Theo

With the emergence of Mr. "Gee, I should cash in before I cash out" Felt, there exists only one universal secret left to be solved...........and you all know what that is. Our Lady of Perpetual Donation never promised an answer to this one.

Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear.

I guess it's better being bakered (note the lower case spelling) than getting culled.

Better them than these nuns on the run!

#100 is yours, Ian. However, I don't remember a Dr. Who episode that presented the number "100" as the answer with a question that had been forgot! I assume that's the origin of your 42 preference?

Thank you. We'll settle at Area 51. Oh, and by the way...I can put some black electrical tape down the brim...a la bonnet stripes...if you wish.
