I've quickly hacked-together a web page with links to a map of our route and the timed driving directions. You can access it HERE.

Theo,

Just wanted to give you a big Great job putting this all together.

I see you've plotted a stop at the Canterbury rest area. After checking the area I was going to suggect that exact spot for us Eastern MA guys to try and catch up with your group. (even if it is "Area 51"!)

I know I'll have at least a couple MINIs with me, but I'll try to get a more organized group together and let you know how many to expect.

Thanks for the kind words, Folks!

I added some pix of last year's YC MINIs (and an MG) and a couple of links showing both the entire Kancamagus Hwy and the Loon Mountain lot from space.

YC Caravan Website

Cheers!

Call me crazy, but what are the dates for this venture?? I've been away from this board for a while....if it's for the 30th of April, I might be interested.

I'll get milk...be back in a few (hours).

Mini's have an affect on people. Take me for example. In a haste and anxious moment, I agreed with my husband to sell my beautiful Plum Crazy Purple 1984 Jeep CJ-7 so that I can get a state-of-the-art MINI Cooper. We needed room in the garage. Sigh. On to bigger (uh...ok not really), but BETTER things.

June??????

Are you serious, Steve? This thing is in June? I thought we decided May. Now we are going to have all those bikers and RVs and runners crowding around. Come on, I was sure it was May...don't you remember?

Add another MINI

Another masterful planning job, Theo. This is starting to look like good timing, since we've committed to Fri.+Sat. night at the T&C + yanking the kids out of school on Friday (they're only there due to all the extra snow days...) If the mood strikes, we might take 68, 202, etc. straight North from Worcester to meet up @ Mr. Mike's Mobil (know a street address?). That will help the interstate avoidance factor a lot. Otherwise, the Area 51 meet-up should work as plan B.

Are we there yet???

A street address in Stoddard? Nah, Mr. Mike's is on Route 9 East and probably has a number for 911 purposes but I'd bet only the mgr. knows it. I believe it is the ONLY business on the left side of the road (heading the way you'll be coming) between Keene and Antrim - @ 22 miles. Wait, there's a guy who butchers game who hangs a shingle out...right before Mike's.

Third black locust tree on the right. But seriously...I have added maps to the Yankee Candle Caravan website showing the locations of both Mr. Mike's Mobil in Stoddard AND Rest Area 51 on I-93 north of Concord. Check there for more info.

... just joining in the standing ovation for Theo's outstanding efforts in bringing the YC Caravan together into a most excellent event !!! The website is cutting edge with those space shots of Mikes Mobil that we all knew we needed . This is going to be a lot of fun and am looking forward to this as much as MOT.

Thinking that we will become part of the caravan. We will be leaving Maryland aroung 3 or 4 in the am on Friday (how I hate traffic in NYC) and will aim to be in Deerfield Around 12. May not make it, in any case will download route and follow it maybe I can catch ip at Mr. Mikes. Thanks for puttng this together!
