That's a beautiful quote pezboy.

I was just thinking about the time that Ed ran outside in the middle of winter, plopped himself in the snow and made the funniest snow angel pic for the Snow thread.

He told me that at a run he was rolling down the hill with all the kids and someone came up to him and said, "You must be Maxamini."

My last PM from Ed just said: "Made you look "

So typical.

I think there may be a picture of this scene from MINIs on Top with Ed in action, but this is the first one I found:

I remember that snow angel

seems the pic has gone from the thread

but the banter is there and the build up to it in true Ed style

Aiden, very nice job with my picture. I have to say, that was one of the rare quiet moments from Ed. He took me to that pier, it was a blustery, gray winter day. We walked along and he really didn't say much. Of course I loved all the fun times we had when he was goofing off, but this moment was truly special to me, because I felt like I got to see the deeper side of him. My cousin was heartbroken when I saw her this morning. She got to meet Ed this winter on one of our skiing trips. He kidnapped her, taught her to drive stick, told the resort she was his wife (she's all of 16), and gave her snowboarding lessons while skiing backwards and taking pictures, though he had never strapped on a board in his life. He gave her a duck too, which she is holding onto dearly.

MINI2 has made a great impact us all, and knowing how even when we go, our thoughts, life and pictures are left on mini2.

We can clearly see what a impact maxamini made on us, not just in our memories on mini2 too.

The last communication I had from Ed was to wish Alfie a happy 2nd Birthday, which he signed off "Peace and Sunshine on your family".

Well, the same to you Ed.

a few of us over the Northern Exiles thread have decided the best way for us to celebrate would be to hold a local run, to do this as close to the service when Dan tells us more about when it is. Then we will start a thread to organise our local run, and then a main thread to collate all the others.

No need to plan too much, just pick your favourite local roads, grab a duckie and take to the roads and enjoy each others company, remember someone special to us all

But what would be good if those all over the MINI2 world were to do a similar thing on the same date, this would show how far and wide Ed reached us all and how we all feel for him

Then afterwards a giant photo thread as Dan has said he would like to see the photo's from such a tribute

I wish our paths had crossed in real life but Ed and his duckies will never be forgotten.

My thoughts are with you and your family Dan.

I'm holding back tears here. After hearing all of your wonderful stories I really wish I could've met him in person.

The last thing he said to me...

Sometimes people come into our lives for a way to short of time..We must learn to always
cherish those moments with them..I never knew of Ed but I do remember reading some
of his posts. The amount of posts in tribute to him is very moving, and I wish I could
of had a chance to meet with him. To everyone that knew and loved him... from his family,
to his friends on this forum I offer my deepest condolences.......

we are all here for you on MINI2.

Annette, you've got me crying again. It's so true. Ed had deep thoughts and was one of the most sensitive men I have ever met. He sent me a DVD by the artist Andy Goldsworthy that was so emotional and beautiful. I returned it to him and, of course, he passed it along to GBMINI. He always made time for his friends and went the extra mile. I think he thought about us all every day.
