Mart. Upon the late night you come back to read, maybe you'll see that even today i'm off along with fellow MINI2ers and NEMINIers to celebrate Ed on a commemorative Round Long Island Run. Two other MINI clubs will be there as well. Along with all the other stops, will be visiting the big duck. I will be thinking of you, and your family.

There is a guy, Paul, who runs USMINICLUB or something - he was running about with a big-ass lens on his camera doing the "pro" stuff (here) but apparently my camera baffled him

And what you don't see is all the scrubby grass I already cropped from the original pic!

Hi Everyone:

I remember visiting the Duck in Long Island - two years ago on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We met at the mall and I watched 15 crazy mini drivers spinning around the rooftop of the mall, wondering when they would hit each other doing those figure eights! I also remember how crazy it was to go TO New York on the last day of the Holiday Weekend and then try to get home in the same day. I remember leaving at 5:30 in the morning to meet at Marcus Dairy, and then meet someone else on the way to Roosevelt? What was the most fun were the little hills at Montauk that we sped over, and actually caught wind under the mini. The ride home on the ferry was aweseome - a few beers with Peter Uptick and Antsmini. That was the beginning - besides the first RDR when we didn't have walkie talkies and didn't really know what was going on. From then on, those little questions Ed would ask me during the week - Wanna go to brunch on Sunday? And I said, SURE, but then think better of it and ask WHAT STATE? It would be New Hampshire, or Rhode Island or Massachusetts, or wherever there were minis gathered for some special comeraderie. What a treat, and what great people we met! And will continue to meet. Til then, I'll be motoring the Electric Blue with the duck on the antenna!

Hi Everyone:
I had the most awesome dream last night. I saw Ed! I was at some sort of a park, and I saw him all dressed up, suit, white shirt, tie - he looked fantastic. I ran up to him and said, "I've been hoping to see you! How is it?" He replied with two words, "IT'S AWESOME!" That was the end of the dream!

Then this morning, on a walk with the dog, I saw two swans in the distance - flying over a lake. I rarely have seen swans flying. They slowly turned, went around the lake and came towards me. They flew right over my head - about 20 feet up. I could hear their beautiful wings swishing thruogh the air. I thought, okay, that's us now - free at last to fly and be together. I also thought what two nice gifts I had received in 12 hours!

Thought this was encouraging and wanted to share it with you!
