yeah you guys got post your runs and send me some pics if you dedicate a rally to his memory. I've never used this forum so this is all new to me.

I just made it through this thread, and am afraid to go look at others... the people at work keep staring... I have a duck on my monitor, and I keep tearing up as I read through this... And of course the duck is the first one Ed ever gave me!

NoNo - Ms Annette - if there is anything I can do - just let me know...

To Ed's Family... Ed was(and will always be) a great guy who touched all that he met. Please know that many in the MINI community are here to help in any way we can.

Ruthie - funny that I was able to finally meet you and Ed in person at Jim Thorpe for the first time... we'll treasure the moments...

Cod - thanks for the story... I know you're missing you partner in crime...

To everyone else... Even if you never met him, Ed has touched your life in some way... be it a duck, a pm, a funny thread, he has made us smile... even if only through the pictures his friends and MINI compatriots have posted...

The story has something to do with a run on Long Island. There's a big duck (http://www.nemini.org/coppermine/dis...7/pid=323.html) out there. I'm sure some of those on that run can fill in the details. I was MINI-less at that time.

We'll miss Ed tremendously. He was absolute blast to hang out and ride with.

On Route 23(?) he met that quaint giant duck gift shop (former poultry shop) that has since been relocated. It was the First Flight to First Light(?) LI rally led by Rob Friedman. He left with a yellow ducky. The duck was established thereafter as an icon at a reknown pub in Port Jefferson, LI, where Ed, and others beside myself, awaited a ferry home.

"At the NYC Sunrise run is the first time my sister and I (giggler sisters) met Ed.
Even though we did attend the RDR II Event one month prior, we never got a chance to really meet ED. At the Sunrise run, it was a whole different story, thanks to JACKMAN. It was my sister (MINIHAHA) who stole the duck and it's caught on VIDEO. Off course we passed it around but then it ended up back in our car. "

I am extremely saddened by the news of Ed's sudden passing.
My thoughts are dizzying me at this moment and must be tamed and will be shared with you all in a more appropriate form.

Meanwhile I am honored to have met Ed on the first MINI rally I ever organized:
