As a newcomer to MINIs and their people, I have read this thread with utter amazement. MaxaMini Ed seems to embody the MINI spirit as much today as he did when personally conducting his antics on this earth. Someone who sprinkled good and humor and mischief and love for family and life freely from wherever he was if these posts are to be believed (and I do). What an amazing gift to draw on so many memories of this magnanimous guy! How fortunate to learn some of life's secrets from someone who apparently took life seriously, but didn't take himself too seriously. Being so new to this world, maybe my interpretation of MaxaMini's off, but that's at least some of what I am left with after reading this entire thread. He and his spirit are truly inspiring. Let's do good things and enjoy today!

Hi again - wow, twice in one week! The family is growing again! Dan asked Karina to marry him - he's the last of our three children to make that wonderful commitment. We are so thrilled. Karina is perfect for Dan - she loves fishing with him, kayaking, camping and just spending time together. I'm on the road this week so I'm not even home to give them both a congratulatory hug. (And I'll miss MAMA again!!!) Sorry Rick and Laurie!
