The WMD (Whizzing Minis Downeast) Tour

Sat. November 12th 2005

Starting in Camden Maine

Owls Head Light

Basically a Penninsula tour with light houses thrown in if people like that kind of thing. maybe late foliage or at least leaves to stir up on the road!

We will have a get together Fri night 7:30 at Cappy's Chowder House (in downtown Camden at the bottom of the hill coming from either direction on RT 1) Backup plan is Gilbert's, which is about 50 yards away.

so far, the Towne Motel has agreed to host us (they have about 20 rooms and are about 300 yards from the center of downtown Camden) The number there is 207-236-3377 if you want to reserve for Fri and/or Sat night.

So far on the list:

Get out, stretch, take pictures of Marshall Point Light, get back in cars and
RT 131 North to Thomaston

RT 97 becomes RT 220 North to Waldoboro
Turn Left onto Main St in Waldoboro

Is that kind of like the Tour de France, where the leader pulls over at the side of the road and the rest of the peloton does the same, and they all stand there Mini Whizzing?

All you need now is for your posts to get much much longer ... you already have the "wierd" part sorted

Thanks, I think!
I'm not sure if this forum could have handled Maxamini and his Bro at the same time. There must be a reason why he was my favorite!
Short and sweet is often good, I've had a couple longer ones in my melancholy period.
Besides, I'm actually supposed to be doing paying work.
Enjoy the run.

Well, that was kind of the image I had too ever since I read that the 'W' stood for 'Whizzing'. Of course, the one thing I have learned about planning Mini runs is you can never have too many pit stops in a large group!

Ed had some posts that would definitely leave even the stranger of us scratching our heads trying to figure out the gist of it. He actually seemed to make more sense the longer he posted.

We got stickied

I grew up in Camden. A wonderful place to drive. Lakes, mountains, the ocean.
How will we fit it all in. A few dry runs will sort it out and blend it all together.
Ben and I will be up to support the effort.
