Thumbs up End of Summer Driving School at NHIS

Yes, registration is open for the White Mountain Chapter's "End of Summer Driving School" held with the Boston Chapter of the BMW CCA at New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon running from October 28th to 31st!

This is the last driving school of the year. You can enjoy up to four days of High Performance Driving School and watch the exciting Club Races planned during this driving extravaganza. Registration is open now, so don't hesitate or you'll miss out on this premier event! You can choose to attend Friday, the weekend, Monday, or any combination of the three units.

I'm planning to go on Monday, Oct. 31st. Will you be there?

Check out the registration form (and that very fast 02 MCS mid-way down the page . . . ) at http://www.wmc-bmwcca.org/event/233

If you haven't taken the extremely valuable Advanced Driving Skills School, which is beneficial for any driver and a requirement for the driving school on the track for anyone so inclined, the last one will be Saturday, September 24 from 10 am to 5 pm. Follow this link: http://www.wmc-bmwcca.org/event/248. ADSS is open to experienced drivers and novice drivers looking to practice car control skills.

Return to Hudson Bay 2010 (and 2011) . . . not

Finally a weekend one. A question...if you are only to do one day and have never done it before, can you only show up the first day where they have beginners classes? Or is it 3 days of the same thing?

Every day has a "beginner" level for first-timers and others with limited experience. You will move up a level once you've been "signed off" by your instructor and you want to drive in that group.

If you haven't been on the track with a BMW chapter before, then you must take the Advanced Driving Skills School first. (This is a great experience whether you go on track or not.) Several MINI2 drivers will attest to the value of the school even though they had no desire to drive on the track.

I have since corrected the first post: Saturday and Sunday cannot be selected by themselves, only in combination with Friday and / or Monday. I'll be there on Monday, Oct. 31st.

I might go Monday myself. I was at NHIS today, and they mentioned that not only is Monday cheap, it's usually a pretty light day in terms of car turnout, so you can expect more track time than normal.

yes i did. I also found that the three day package is a bargain. I also remembred why i haven't been on the track with my new car yet. I haven't been able to afford it. Add in the hotel, and dahdumpdump. This is going to have to rely heavily on my will to find a way. i might see what my local chapter (or anyone else) might be doing up the road at limerock.

Saturday and Sunday cannot be selected individually, but there is a way to do a two-day Saturday & Sunday school for $350.

I too was at NHIS yesterday with the Boston Chapter. Snid continued on his rabid tear up the driving school ranks. I personally watched him harrassing Cooper S's, M3's and Porsches with aplumb in turn 11 for a while. Expect to see him with us pansies in Group 2 before long!

That M3 was being driven very slowly. I forgot about the Porsche... it was a 968, the short lived successor to the 944 http://vista.pca.org/stl/968.htm

Make sure you're comparing prices for the same things. I'd guess the $45 was for a parking lot only skidpad / lane change / braking school and the $295 was for a track day.
