Offline | Mikeys' BUGATTI VEYRON adventure Yesterday still hasn't quite sunk in fully yet & my internal organs certainly havn't recovered![]() My customer had asked me to come with him to help plan the extras on his Veyron. We started the day at Liverpool John Lennon Airport in a private jet Due to French strikes we went over Holland & Belgium. I was surprised at the small size of the Bugatti factory & showroom, but what a class place. We had full access to the factory & I was able to look closely at partly built cars & parts of cars Here is the little engine How does that monster fit in that little car?? How about a little disc & heres one being built The final result is stunning How much are these ![]() Last edited by mikeythemini : Mar 29th, 2006 at 05:28 PM. |

Offline | Prospective buyers were taken out by ex French racing star Pierre Henry for 30 minutes, with a chance to drive themselves. There were 2 demo cars available. There is no cover on the engine due to the huge heat created ![]() ![]() Last edited by mikeythemini : Mar 29th, 2006 at 05:33 PM. |

Offline | The best bit of the day: He took me out in one!! I won't repeat the speeds we hit but it was by far the fastest I have ever travelled.I asked if I could & they told me to get in, as we were about to drive off, my customer stopped us & told Pierre to scare the s*** out of me It is difficult to describe the experience, the acceleration is amazing & totally seamless, you cannot feel the gear changes. The progress along a country lane with overtaking was breathtaking & the cornering speeds unbelievable, but then came an even more impressive bit....... the braking he hit the brakes hard & I felt like my guts had carried on without me It does 0 - 60 mph and back to 0 in under 5 seconds!!!!!A short motorway blast confirmed the how civilised the car is - you can hold a normal conversation as very high speed as the cabin is so quiet. He had another surprise for me - taking the car to a runway he waited until we were 'flying' then said it is such a great car that you can drive with no hands! & proceeded to take both hands off the wheel & stamp on the brakes It again stopped before my internal organs & never moved from the white line.Me in the car ![]() Last edited by mikeythemini : Mar 29th, 2006 at 05:52 PM. |
