Halo sidelights

Ok this has probably been discussed elsewere before but just wanting to clarify.

Whats the difference in the halo side lights for a stock bumper and an aero bumper? Can a set made for stock bumper be made to fit an aero bumper? If so how?

Looking at a set but im flitting between front bumpers at the minute and dont want to buy the wrong thing.

The lower mounting bracket is shorter on the Aero and GP bumper than on standard

On standard bumper the bracket has 2 holes and is full length

On Aero / GP you cut the lower bracket off between the holes creating a shorter lower bracket and Hey presto it fits.

If you take the side lights out of your GP you will see how they have cut the bracket off.

Conclusion
Buy the standard ones and then you have both options covered.

Both sets of mine have come from Mikey - not sure what the ultra ones are.

Note
Irrespective of make they have to fit in the same location and mounting points as BMW provide in then bumper.

The only reason you have to cut the Aero / GP ones is because they foul on the shaped section of the lower element of the bumper. It is nothing to do with screw locations.

Thinking of buying these, did I read somwhere that you get discount for being M2 member? If that is correct do you still get it if I go to the shop as it is not far from me?

Mikey offers the Halo lights with a variation of bulbs...keep your standard one (none), Silver bulbs, Diadem and LED.

By this am I right in thinking that the standard sidelights are the same fitment as the Ultra Halo Lights???

This is because I already have silver bulbs in my sidelights at the moment and then I might not have to fork out for unneccessary bulbs!!

Just fitted my halos and they look great, one question though, there seems to be a slight glow from them when lights are switched off, is this normal?

Flicker all the time or just when they are glowing?

Ended up taken the bumper off was just quicker than trying to get my hands down.
